Hey there fellow wanderers ☺ Get ready to dive into an unforgettable journey with me as we explore the enchanting Amalfi Coast and beyond! 🌅 Our adventure will be a seamless blend of exploration and relaxation: for kindred spirits who seek the perfect balance between discovery and leisure. It’s never too late to live your best la dolce vita! Not to mention the obvious, but it’s a foodie’s paradise out here! 🍕😘👌 In fact, everything you’ve heard of and imagined to be true about the food, the people, the sparkling blue waters, and charming little towns really is as vivid and colourful as in your dreams. There’s SO much character bursting out from this corner of the world where I’m lucky enough to live – a timeless treasure that’s truly magnetic for a reason!
Our accommodations are really special: a cozy Italian-style B&B right in the heart of Salerno’s historic centre, which happens to be perfectly nestled between Cilento's rugged charm and the Amalfi Coast's allure. We'll saunter through this coastal jewel, indulge in the rich tapestry of local flavours, and clink glasses by the sea during relaxed aperitivos 🥂🌊 an authentic Italian ritual! And that's just the beginning, for our adventure continues as we hop from one picturesque Amalfi Coast town to the next, each exuding its own unique charm. Then, get ready to be wowed by the ancient Greek temples of Paestum; a mesmerising portal to the past. It’s a packed, but fun-filled and flexible four day trip - one for active explorers who also know how to chill out and enjoy themselves. This trip is more than just sightseeing – it's about creating meaningful connections. I'm excited to introduce you to some of my local friends, offering you an insider's perspective and a taste of authentic Italian hospitality. If you're all about savoring every bite (and trust me, around here, every bite's a flavor explosion), if you're up for creating memories that'll make your friends and followers jealous, and if you're just as excited about uncovering hidden gems as I am, then you're exactly the kind of soul I'm looking for. So pack your curiosity, an open heart, and a big appetite (for both food and adventure), and let's make this Amalfi Coast trip, Cilento escapade, and Greek temples tour the stuff of legends. Can't wait to meet you, fellow explorer! 🌞🍝🌊🗺️

About me! As for me, I’m your knowledgeable travel companion, the friendly face you’ll see throughout your journey, and your partner-in-crime. I’m a life-long traveller and this is the fourth country I’ve ever settled in (meaning I’ve been here for more than a couple of years now). You’ll get to know me as someone who’s in love with meeting new places and people, and always up for trying something new. I also love walking, talking, sitting around campfires (both real and metaphorical), and staring out into sunsets. The sea forever captures my heart, but the skies have my soul.

Details about the accommodation: Italian-style B&B right in the heart of Salerno’s historic center, close to countless shops, restaurants, bars, and points of interest. A very short walk from the seafront! The host has wonderful reviews! We are very lucky this place was available. Everyone will have a double bed in a shared suite (2 or 3 people in a suite). If you have questions about the trip, keep me posted in the Q&A section! I will come back to you as soon as possible

We had a lovely 4 days! Emily was helpful even before the trip actually started. Once in Salerno she picked me up the next morning to join the group. She showed us the most beautiful spots of her area and also some gems like Agropoli and Paestum - my favorite! We were a small but very diverse group and Emily made everybody feel comfortoble and relaxed. This being Italy, it was not always easy for her to meet everybodies needs as it was end of season and a few places were shut already. Or trains were delayed whicht overthrew our plans. But we all had a great time and parted as friends!

Trip Itinerary
1

Salerno City Center

Day 1-2
Salerno is a vibrant city with gorgeous architecture, a large port, and mountain backdrop; a mix of old town and modern shops, restaurants, and bars. This will be our base for the four days. Activities: - Explore the historical center of Salerno and visit points of interest such as Salerno Cathedral and the beautiful Minerva Gardens - Take a stroll along the scenic Lungomare - Visit the Archaeological Museum of Salerno - Try delicious street food
2

Vietri sul Mare

Day 2
The gateway to the Amalfi Coast and one of the most underrated towns on it! Famous for it's ceramics, we'll wind through the cobbles streets, take in the jaw dropping panoramas, and then relax on the beach before venturing further along the coast. Activities: - explore the town - enjoy the vistas - relax on the beach
3

Amalfi Coast

Day 2-3
We will choose 2-3 places on the Amalfi Coast to visit on the second day - let me know which places on you're most excited to see! Summer season Amalfi tours by boat will be coming to a close in October, but the ferry will still be running. We will definitely use this option if the weather allows because arriving on the Amalfi Coast by sea really is mesmerising. Otherwise, you’ll get to experience the winding roads along the show-stopping cliffs. Either way, the views are not to be missed! The type of activities we can do: - Explore the picturesque streets and colorful houses of places like Minori, Amalfi, Positano... - Try delizie al limone at the famous Sal de Riso pasticceria (Minori) - Relax on the beautiful beaches
4

Paestum

Day 3-4
A relaxed morning visiting the Greek temples followed by lunch at a caseificio (buffalo farm, aka the birth-place of mozzarella, ricotta, and the creamiest gelato!) For the rest of the day there will be time to relax and/or visit somewhere else on the Cilento coast such as Agropoli or Palinuro - let's go with the flow on this one. Activities: - Greek Temples tour - caseificio visit - possible beach trip - possible boat trip - plenty more views, food, and fun
5

Cava de' Tirreni

Day 4
On the final day, after we've checked out from our accomodation, we will make our way to this very special town (not just because I live here!). Cava is truly one of the most atmospheric towns in the region with beautiful arches like that of Bologna. There are plenty of side streets to explore and bars and cafes to relax at, as well as a lovely square to hang out in as we reflect on our four days together. Time permitting, there's also a castle on top of a small mountain that has impressive views of the whole valley! On a clear day you can see the sea at one end and Vesuvio and Naples at the other. It's the perfect final stop before everyone parts ways (also because we can store luggage at my apartment until you're ready to leave). I hope that you'll be so charmed by this little gem, tucked away behind the mountains of the Amalfi Coast, that you'll come back and visit soon!
