Scicli

Scicli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sicily, is a hidden gem brimming with Baroque beauty and historical charm. Nestled in a valley, this enchanting town boasts ornate churches, noble palaces, and intricate architecture. Walk along picturesque streets lined with grand facades, visit the iconic Basilica of San Matteo, and explore the charming Piazza Italia. Scicli's rich history is intertwined with stunning landscapes, creating a unique atmosphere that captivates visitors.

Modica
Day 4-7
Modica is a magnificent Sicilian Baroque architecture which makes it a UNESCO heritage site, famous for chocolate because a long time ago Spaniards brought chocolate to Modica from the land of the Aztecs in Mesoamerica. Modica still makes its chocolate (no milk, cold produced, grainy texture, unique flavors) in the traditional Aztec manner which is hard to find elsewhere in Europe. We will have the opportunity to live a chocolate tour with tasting, a unique and unforgettable experience!!! Where do we sleep? Literally in a museum! The Avian Houses with the Mùrika Museum, according to the trend of the «return to the origins», is a project aimed at the ethnographic conservation of the old house and the recovery and improvement of the identity of the places. The rooms, with an ancestral appeal, are original spaces of an old medieval fortification directed to museum purposes and an unconventional receptivity. The floors, artifacts and furniture refer to the history of the old county of Modica. *Shared room (maximum 2 persons in individual beds) and individual rooms (paying a fee of 30€)

Built into the rocky hillside, the church features a grand staircase leading to its entrance. 4. Ragusa Superiore, the newer part of Ragusa. Here you'll find wider streets and more modern architecture. Take a walk along Corso Italia, the main street, and admire the elegant buildings and local shops. 5. Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista, this grand cathedral showcases a blend of architectural styles and houses valuable artwork and religious relics. Catania
Day 7
Catania may sit in the shadows of the explosive Mount Etna, but it more than holds its own. Its Roman past is shown off at its theatres, while many variants of grape are grown on Etna’s ever-changing hillside microclimates, and there are even beaches aplenty for soaking up the sun. Catania will be our last spot from where we can take the flight back to our routine :-(
