San Vito Lo Capo
Day 6-7
Even a bit far I have this place on my wishlist for a while. San Vito lo Capo boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. The main beach, Spiaggia di San Vito lo Capo, is renowned for its soft, golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Relax on the beach, swim, or try water sports like snorkeling and windsurfing. Unlike some of Sicily's larger cities, San Vito lo Capo offers a more relaxed and tranquil atmosphere. It's an ideal place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
6
Tonnara di Scopello
Day 7
The Tonnara di Scopello is a centuries-old tuna fishery that dates back to the 13th century. It is one of the last remaining examples of a traditional tonnara in Sicily, showcasing the historical practices of tuna fishing, which were once widespread along the Sicilian coast. The surrounding area, including the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro (Zingaro Nature Reserve), is a protected natural reserve. It offers hiking trails, pristine beaches, and opportunities for nature enthusiasts to appreciate Sicily's diverse flora and fauna.
