A famous german writer (Goethe) once said: " you haven't seen Italy if you have not been to Sicily". Sicily is in my top 3 favorite destinations and this would be my 3rd trip on the island. Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, is a place of remarkable beauty, rich history, and a unique cultural blend that makes it an enticing destination for travelers. It offers an enticing blend of history, culture, natural beauty, and culinary delights that will captivate any traveler. Whether you're seeking relaxation on the beach, a deep dive into history and art, or an adventure in the great outdoors, Sicily has something for everyone. Sicilian cuisine is a feast for the senses. Savor the flavors of arancini (rice balls), pasta con le sarde (pasta with sardines), cannoli (sweet pastries), and the island's famous seafood dishes. Sicilian wines, like Nero d'Avola and Marsala, are renowned worldwide. You should join this trip if you want to discover a very traditional and authentic Italy, if you love food and of course you love traveling!

Day 1: Arrival in Palermo Arrive in Palermo and check into your accommodation. Start your trip with a traditional Sicilian breakfast of granita and brioche at a local café. Afternoon: Explore the historic center of Palermo. Visit the stunning Palermo Cathedral and the Royal Palace of Palermo. Stroll through the lively Ballarò Market and sample some local street food. Evening: For dinner, head to the Al Mercato restaurant, which is famous for its fresh seafood and lively atmosphere.
5

San Vito Lo Capo

Day 6-7
Even a bit far I have this place on my wishlist for a while. San Vito lo Capo boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. The main beach, Spiaggia di San Vito lo Capo, is renowned for its soft, golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Relax on the beach, swim, or try water sports like snorkeling and windsurfing. Unlike some of Sicily's larger cities, San Vito lo Capo offers a more relaxed and tranquil atmosphere. It's an ideal place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
6

Tonnara di Scopello

Day 7
The Tonnara di Scopello is a centuries-old tuna fishery that dates back to the 13th century. It is one of the last remaining examples of a traditional tonnara in Sicily, showcasing the historical practices of tuna fishing, which were once widespread along the Sicilian coast. The surrounding area, including the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro (Zingaro Nature Reserve), is a protected natural reserve. It offers hiking trails, pristine beaches, and opportunities for nature enthusiasts to appreciate Sicily's diverse flora and fauna.
