Trip Itinerary

Ficulle
Day 1-5
ABOUT OUR WONDERFUL ACCOMMODATION: Private cottage with 3 floors, very well located in the greenest heart of Italy. You can feel the true life of the Italian countryside! There is a large private garden and private pool (open from April to October), barbecue facilities and garden furniture. There are many spaces in the garden for various types of activities. The house is tastefully decorated. The second floor overlooks the balcony with panoramic views, where you can enjoy the sunsets. The house has a total of 240 m2. In the garden and around the pool, you have total privacy and peace! The house is lovely in winter too, as it has 2 fireplaces and the house is heated ! Christmas is beautiful there! Both shared and individual rooms (this last option is available, paying an extra fee of 50€). You can easily reach the first stop of the trip (Ficulle) with a train from Rome to Fabro-Ficulle train station. I will then pick you up with the car. The place is absolutely calm and perfect for relaxation, as it is located in the middle of the incredible Appennino Umbro hills... the view is something you won't forget.
2
Orvieto
Day 5
Orvieto is a city with a significant cultural heritage, fascinating traditions, and an exciting lifestyle. Discover this medieval Umbrian city and its world-famous “wonders“. We will stroll around this enchanting city and experience the local and musical culture through a typical festival called Umbria Jazz. And besides the historic center, it is no less interesting the surroundings of Orvieto, a large area lying between the borders of Lazio and Tuscany Italian regions alternating green hills cultivated with olive trees and vineyards, unspoiled countryside with many typical villages, boroughs and unusual places to visit.
3
Civita di Bagnoregio
Day 5
Known as "La città che muore", this ancient hilltop town is slowly crumbling due to erosion and it offers breathtaking views and timeless beauty. Civita can only be accessed via a pedestrian bridge, making it feel like you’re stepping into a fairytale!
4
Terme di Saturnia
Day 5
The beauty of the Saturnia baths also lies in the idyllic setting in which they are found: they are overlooked by an ancient stone building, a former mill. The thermal water follows a journey of 40 years beneath Monte Amiata. During this time, it accumulates minerals like sulfur, calcium, sulfates, and magnesium. When it resurfaces, with a flow of nearly 800 liters per second, it maintains a constant temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius. The abundant flow allows the pools to be fully renewed every 4 hours. The therapeutic properties of Saturnia’s thermal springs are remarkable: the water promotes cutaneous vasodilation, reduces blood pressure, acts as an anti-inflammatory for muscles and bones, enhances respiratory activity, relaxes muscles, has antiseptic effects on the skin, and much more. It’s time to chill and rejuvenate before the New Year Eve!
5
Pitigliano
Day 5
This lovely hilltop town in southern Tuscany, dramatically carved into volcanic rock boasts narrow, winding streets, medieval architecture, and ancient Etruscan caves. Its unique setting and rich history make it one of the most picturesque and enchanting villages in Italy.
