Are you a wine lover, just like me? There are twenty regions in Italy, and each region comes with their own wine! This is because each flavor of grape that is grown in each region alters the taste of the different wines. Each region, city, and town also has their own distinct dishes that go well with their wines. Whether it is pasta, meat, polenta, or even chocolate and cheese that you were after, you were going to find it somewhere in Italy. Join me as we go on a wine and food tour across some of the small towns in Italy. The Valipolicella region in Italy is known for a very special red, dessert wine that is made from dried grapes. The highlight of this trip will be Vinitaly Festival, which is the biggest wide Festival in Europe. This Festival will have exclusive wines from all around Italy. So we will have non-stop 4 days of wine tasting and eating delicious food in Verona. While we are there, we will have an option to go to the highest Lounge and have good views as We sip our wine. Our Accommodation: We will stay in shared accommodation (apartment or hotel). We are mainly in this for wine and food, and not so much for flashy, comfort. Our comfort will be in our stomachs. April 10 we will meet at our hotel in Venice (mainland). We will explore Venice together for the first and second days. April 12 we will take public transportation to Verona. This is the first day of Vinitaly festival that lasts 4 days. April 12-16 We will explore the city of Verona together and even go to a wine museum. Vinitaly festival. Day trip to Lake Garda.

This was a special trip, as Jai took over for another tripleader, last minute. Considering that, the trip was a perfect mix between adventure and relaxation/meeting other people. Exactly what I needed. It was only the two of us during the trip, and I got plenty of opportunities to experience the island life as I wanted. Jai usually stayed with me to talk and to discover many things, but I did get my fair share of freedom to hop on a bike and explore to my heart's content. I thank her for all the precious memories and long talks in the evening about our other trips, and life in general. It really never got boring. Jai is a very interesting person with many things to share. I can recommend travelling with her. She can teach anyone a thing or two about living and travelling in special countries (Geogrgia, Serbia, Pakistan, ...)
We will stay in accommodation here overnight. While we are here, we will explore around Venice, but it is just a spot mainly to meet up with others who may be flying into Venice to meet us there. We will then continue the trip westward.

Verona
Day 2-6
We will use this town as a launch pad to explore the surrounding areas of the Valpolicella region. Especially around Lake Grada. This region is known for a special type of red wine made with dried grapes. We will explore by taking day trips and enjoy the scenery of the lake and have wine tastings and eat regional food. Also inside the city is the tower where Romeo and Juliet got married. There is also the Juliet's house.

Lake Garda
Day 6
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy. We can take nature walks and enjoy the scenic views. Maybe it would be good for a picnic. There are several things that we can even do around the lake itself. We can take cable cars up into the Alps for good panoramic views and photo ops.

Aosta
Day 6-7
Aosta is in a valley not too far from Switzerland. So not only will there be delicious wine and food, but scenery to go with it. We will spend a night here in some accommodation, most likely a hotel or apartment.

Turin
Day 7-8
The last night, we will spend in Turin. We will stay in hostel if possible. Otherwise, a hotel or apartment. Turin is also a city with history and architecture. Turin will conclude the official wine tour.

Liguria
Day 8-10
Liguria is a region known for medieval towns, spongy pasta, and white wine. There we will eat and drink plenty as we explore the medieval architecture and history. They also have a special olive in this region too.
