Trip Itinerary

Keflavík International Airport
Day 1-2
On the first day, we meet at the Keflavik Airport. After arrival, we will pick up our cars, stop by the store for groceries, and then drive to our house where we cook dinner and get to know each other.

Gullfoss Falls
Day 2-3
We will drive to explore the Golden Ring. Among the places, we gonna visit is Thingvellir National Park which is a unique place, where you can walk between two continents, the North American tectonic plate, and the Eurasian plate. Bruarfoss Waterfall with its mega blue blue water and the extremely powerful Gulfoss and Iceland's largest geyser. In the evening we will go hunting for the northern lights.

Vik
Day 3-4
We will continue exploring the south of Iceland. We will drive to the world's most famous basalt black beach, picturesque waterfalls, such as Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and canyons. Later in the evening, we continue to hunt Northern Lights.

Vatnajokull
Day 4
Early wake up, breakfast, and let’s go to the largest glacier in Europe. On arrival we get the spikes and rest of the necessary equipment, take ice axes and go on a trek to explore glaciers and look for the ice caves. Our path will pass through the unexplored trails of the Vatnajokull Glacier — climb into one of the ice caves and watch the floating pieces of the glacier in the Iceberg Valley. After we gonna drive along East Iceland, characterized by long and narrow fjords with steep mountainsides and rugged tundra. Each fjord has its unique qualities, with small fishing villages in postcard-perfect settings and friendly locals. If we are lucky, we may get to see a reindeer or two as this is the part of the island they inhabit. The east is also great for northern light viewing.

Egilsstaðir
Day 4-5
After we gonna drive along East Iceland which is characterized by long and narrow fjords with steep mountainsides and rugged tundra. Each fjord has its own unique qualities, with small fishing villages in postcard-perfect settings and friendly locals. If we are lucky, we may get to see a reindeer or two as this is the part of the island they inhabit. The east is also great for northern light viewing.

Akureyri
Day 5-6
Today we have to drive up to the North and on our way, we gonna stop at the most beautiful places of the north which are reachable during winter. The night we gonna spend around Akureyri. The next day there will be a chance to go whale watching tour.

Borðeyri
Day 6-8
During the next 2 days, we are going to the west fjords and Snæfellsnes peninsula with its cliffs, mountains, and beautiful lighthouses. A days will be studded with countless stops, all of them short and breathtaking!

Reykjavík
Day 8
Last day in beautiful Iceland. In the morning we will explore the northernmost capital of the world — Reykjavik. At the end of our trip, we will go to the famous Blue Lagoon for a few hours in a unique open-air thermal pool where we will rest and relax before our flight back home.
