Pack your backpack and let's discover the magic of the islands in the Gulf of Thailand together! In 11 days we will explore the three most beautiful islands and turn night into day at the legendary Fullmoon Party. Route through Thailand: Bangkok 🏙️ -> Koh Tao 🏝️ -> Koh Phangan 🏝️ -> Koh Samui 🏝️ -> Surat Thani _____________________________________________ ℹ️ OVERVIEW: Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok 🏙️ We meet for dinner in Bangkok, get to know each other and discuss the next few days. Until the night bus departs, there is still a little time for a last shopping tour or a relaxed beer on Khao San Road. At around 9 p.m. we take the night bus to Chumphon and from here we take the speedboat to Koh Tao. Day 2-5: Koh Tao 🏝️🏞️ The island of Koh Tao is the smallest island and offers a relaxed start to our island hopping trip. Koh Tao is particularly famous for its underwater world. The range of diving schools is really extensive and the prices are low due to the high competition. If you're planning to do a diving course, this is the place for you (costs: €250-300, ❌ not included). You can decide this spontaneously on the island, but please let me know in advance so that I can plan for it, as we may have to add a day. Day 5-9: Koh Phangan - Fullmoon Party 🏝️ Koh Phangan used to be an insider tip many years ago, when backpackers and hippies from all over the world celebrated a big party once a month on the beach of Haard Rin. Nowadays, the Fullmoon Party attracts thousands of guests every month to drink cocktails from beach buckets in colorful neon shirts and dance in the sand to electronic music. But the island has much more to offer than just this one party night, and of course we won't miss it! Day 9-11: Koh Samui 🏝️🌿🐒 The largest and most touristy island in the Gulf of Thailand is Koh Samui. Here, package tourists mix with European pensioners and backpackers from all over the world. But the island is big enough to keep everyone happy. From waterfalls, to beautiful beaches, to night markets and vibrant nightlife, everyone will find their perfect day here. Day 11: Surat Thani 🕌 On the last day, take the ferry to the pleasant provincial town of Surat Thani. From here, you can travel back to Bangkok by train or flight with me (❌ not included) or continue on to the west coast towards Phuket, Krabi or on to Malaysia. _____________________________________________ What can you expect on this trip? ➕ 100% backpacking feeling 🎒 ➕ Explore the hottest islands in Thailand 🌏 ➕ Get your diving license spontaneously and dive with the turtles of Koh Tao 🐢🐟 ➕ A cool international travel group that's up for islands, partying and traveling 🤗 ➕ Be part of the hottest party in Thailand - the Fullmoon Party 🔥 ➕ Enough time in between to explore the islands on your own or chill out in a hammock 🌿🏝️🌋 What is included in the tour price? ✅ All transfers (night bus/train, cab, speedboat, ferry, bus, minivan) ✅ Accommodations (in shared double rooms/bungalows) ✅ Pub Crawl Tour at Koh Tao ✅ Transport to and from Fullmoon Party ✅ Fullmoon Party Access + 1 welcome buket Thai Rum / Coke ✅ Free body neon color ✅ Safety introduction about do's and don't at the Fullmoon Party ✅ 24/7 Customer Service and Support. ✅ Travel Insurance for Trip Mates coming from Austria and Germany. When it rains, it is usually only (heavy) showers and usually more towards the afternoon or evening. It can also rain for longer periods at night. ☂️ At 25-31° it is still very warm, so a rain shower is not that bad. :-) For me, the low season in the Gulf of Thailand is one of the best times of year because there are far fewer tourists (but still a lot) and we can therefore travel a bit more flexibly and cheaply. The landscape is green, everything is in bloom 🌸 and the locals are also more relaxed. _____________________________________________
ABOUT YOUR TRIPLEADER: I've been exploring the world for 10 years now and have lost my heart to Thailand. In 2024, I moved from Germany to Bangkok together with my girlfriend Hannah. From here, I regularly travel to new and old regions in Southeast Asia. Since Hannah can only travel with me during the vacations, I look forward to meeting cool tripmates from all over the world so that I don't have to discover the most amazing places in Southeast Asia alone. _____________________________________________ HOW DO I TRAVEL? I am a fan of the simple life, live a vegetarian lifestyle and prefer a cheap and sustainable backpacking travel style. That means: - Backpack 🎒 instead of suitcase 🧳🚫 - Simple, clean rooms in local guesthouses 🏡 or sociable hostels 🏠 - Good and cheap local food 🍲 - Beer 🍺 and cocktails 🍹 preferably at happy hour instead of fancy drinks at the rooftop bar 🍸 - Travel like the locals, slower but 100% authentic 🚂 - Sightseeing on your own 🛵 instead of organized tourist groups 🚐 _____________________________________________ MY EXPECTATIONS: My ideal tripmates share a passion for simple and authentic backpacking trips. Even though more and more flashbackers, digital normads and package tourists are now flocking to the islands in the Gulf of Thailand, for me the three islands are the origin of the backpacker scene in Thailand and there are still secluded and beautiful beaches to be found. 🤗 IMPORTANT❗We are going on a BACKPACKING trip. 😉 On this trip, we are traveling with many different means of transport and suitcases are sometimes really impractical. I therefore prefer tripmates who swap their suitcase for a backpack. 🧳🚫 _____________________________________________
ℹ️ ACCOMODATION: On our trip, we will stay in simple but clean and well-kept hostels 🏠 or in family-run homestays and bungalow resorts 🏡. The accommodation is basic but in a good location, there may even be a pool, but don't expect 4* all-inclusive hotel facilities ;) As a rule, 2 people always stay in a double room (separate beds, of course), usually with their own bathroom, sometimes with a shared bathroom if necessary (depending on the size of the group). Not all bungalows or rooms have air conditioning, as a fan is often sufficient by the sea. It is almost always possible to upgrade to a private room (depending on availability at the Fullmoon Party). The costs must then be paid on site (€10-30 extra per night, not included ❌). _____________________________________________ If you have any questions, suggestions or ideas, please send me a message and let's chat in advance. :-)
