β¨1 more free spot available from 6 February onwards β¨ Have you already thought about visiting one of the warmest and most paradisiacal and natural places in Europe? βοΈ Have you visited the island before (maybe even thinking of how to locate or live there for longer) or is it your dream to experience the Hawaii of Europe? ποΈποΈ You can now spend a month or more with a wonderful, relaxed group of four to five active, open-minded and adventurous nomads that I have carefully selected right in the Centre of the capital (and close to the sea) of the (very rightly) hyped island of Madeira, an Archipelago of Portugal located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. π You will be staying in a large house in the centre of Funchal, some work online during the week, some rather sunbath on the rooftop or explore the forests, mountains, beaches, and remote villages during the day. ποΈποΈπ‘ If you want to work outside the house, there are numerous working options nearby. I have a list of co-working spaces and suitable coffee shops or restaurants to work at if you want to work outside the house. β If you do not work currently, you can spend your day strolling around the city, going on trips (there are many groups I know that you can join for free or at a very low price) and excursions. ποΈ I do want to empathize already now, that there are many options regarding after-work activities and weekend trips. The co-living group prefers to go with the flow, check the weather conditions first, and decide by communicating with the rest on what they would like to do each day in a rather spontaneous way. π¦οΈ We aren't fans of overly strict, rigid plans and inflexibility concerning the exact order of trips. π ββοΈ There are a few events though that are pre-planned already now, which are the Tuesday Jam Session with live music in walking distance and the Purple Friday's Sunset Party in Ponta do Sol on Friday. ππΈ πΏ Also, please be aware: hikes in Madeira can be off the grit! You can see things that no tourist ever would. You have to be fit and somewhat experienced in hiking to be able to walk these wild wonderful paths of Madeira. ππͺβΉοΈββοΈ π There is a possibility to share a car amongst the co-living group. Costs have to be split and paid for by each nomad during their stay. What is included in the price? βοΈ Your own room in a central co-living house, shared with a group of 4 other fun people βοΈ House includes 2 bathrooms, 4 toilets, kitchen, living room, 3 co-working areas (2 private ones with closed doors for calls), sea view rooftop terrace, washing/storage room with washing machine, free parking βοΈ An informative notion page full of ideas, tips, locations and things to do with the other nomads in the co-living (hikes, sightseeing, sunset, and viewpoint spots, events, meet-ups) βοΈ Spacious car or powerful 125cc scooter (allowed to drive with normal B driver licence) upon request π ππ βοΈ Regular cleaning services Due to several factors as the extremely high demand, Madeira's housing and car rental market has become a bit crazy, and often it's very hard to find any (affordable) accommodation, small flats with a single bedroom in Funchal cost about 100β¬ on average per night. So this is a great opportunity for those not only seeking a rather affordable place to stay, but also amazing company and useful tips from an experienced expat. π π₯π
I am an expat in Madeira since the beginning of 2021. I have explored large parts of the island through my very frequent hiking trips. I became addicted to going the wild road, the off-the-beaten-path, to find ways that very few have seen before. Before that, I have travelled the world and lived abroad in several countries for over 10 years. I love to bring people together, and organizing guided trips to show people the beauty of new places became a big passion of mine. Unfortunately, even the biggest passion can compete with one's work-life-balance and bring too much stress and lack of time into one's life. So I redirected my path of bringing people together and showing them the beauty of places by creating social and happy co-livings in several places in Madeira. I still pass over my knowledge, insiders and secret tips of great places to visit, events to attend and people to meet. But I am not physically present all the time any more, and I let people take the lead by themselves to decide where they want to go after they are done with work.
