Bristol
Day 1-2
Day 1: Arrival in Bristol Welcome to Bristol! The locals call Bristol the most creative and liberal city in the island nation and it has lived up to its name. As a cosmopolitan metropolis, it attracts millions of visitors and students from all over the world every year and welcomes everyone. It is also home to the highest number of Michelin-starred restaurants outside of London and the trendiest neighborhoods. Depending on your arrival time in Bristol, you can drive directly from the airport to our accommodation (check-in is 4 pm) and move into your room. Alternatively, we can meet in the city beforehand and use a locker to store your luggage and get to know the city. Depending on when the other TripMates arrive, we can get to know each other beforehand with a walk and coffee or tea. In the afternoon, we can then officially check in and the afternoon is free to do as we please. I definitely recommend visiting the Suspension Bridge in the evening when it is lit up in festive light (free of charge). Make sure you take your camera or smartphone with you!

Stonehenge
Day 2-3
Day 2: Full-day excursion to Stonehenge, Salisbury and Old Sarum and to the Magna Carta Fortify yourself with coffee and a good breakfast for the day trip to the prehistoric monument Stonehenge and the historic town of Salisbury. It's going to be an exciting - and long - day! We travel early in the morning by train from Bristol to Salisbury and from there take a special tour bus to Stonehenge. During the one-hour bus ride, an audio tour will be offered, thanks to which you will learn about the area around Stonehenge and Salisbury (available languages are German, English...). The Stonehenge visitor center also offers audio guides in many different languages and we will be able to explore it on our own for a few hours and take some cool photos! Of course, I have a camera for us there too. The advantage of a small group is that we are very flexible and can decide how long we stay where. On the way back, we make a short stop in Old Sarum, one of the oldest settlements in England. In the afternoon we visit our last stop: Salisbury Cathedral. Here you can view the Magna Carta from 1215, which is on display in the cathedral's chapter house. The evening is at leisure. We can either spend more time in Salisbury or return to Bristol for dinner. (All entrance fees, tour bus in Salisbury and train tickets included; bus tickets within Bristol, lunch and dinner not included).

Bristol
Day 3-4
Day 3: Bristol Walking Tour & Bath "People say graffiti is ugly, irresponsible and childish... but that's only if it's done properly." - Banksy If you like, you can sleep in today, because after breakfast we'll take the bus (bus ticket not included, currently around €2.50) to the center of Bristol and explore the city on our own. We will see the highlights of street art from many generations of street artists and marvel at the original works of probably the most famous artist of our time - Banksy. After the city tour, we'll have plenty of time for lunch in a restaurant or English pub. I have a few suggestions for a traditional English carvery or a light lunch. Everyone gets their money's worth! The decision will be made democratically within the group (lunch not included).

Bath
Day 4
Day 3: Excursion to Bath in the afternoon Around 3:30 pm and after a short train ride of around 15 minutes, we arrive in the afternoon in the historic old town of Bath, which is famous for the Roman bath of the same name and one of the few natural thermal springs in Great Britain. For more than 2,000 years, Bath has been a recreational center for the Romans, Anglo-Saxons and today's British. The magnificent city and the entire area have therefore been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We can stay in Bath as long as we like and visit the city according to our plans. I recommend a visit to the ancient Roman baths (tickets can be purchased online in advance, price currently around €23. If you are interested, I will be happy to send you the website in advance). Dinner is not included in the price.

Bristol
Day 4
Day 4: Departure from Bristol The last day of the trip begins. We check out at around 11 am. Those who are staying longer can leave their rucksack or suitcase in the locker at the station or in their accommodation (depending on how many tripmates register, the accommodation will vary) and use the rest of the time to explore the city. I will be in Bristol on Monday until around midday and will be happy to show you around or give you tips. There are still so many cool things and places to discover in Bristol! There's not much left to add: Sign up now and discover England together!
