Day 1
Welcome to Nice-la Belle, with mild Mediterranean climate, clear air and soft light, fine architecture, located on the French Riviera, the southeastern coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the French Alps.
We will meet and greet at the airport no later than 2 pm (so please make sure to be there before this time) and make our way to the hotel.
For tripmates that have their flights arrival 2 hours earlier than the scheduled meeting I will organize transportation accordingly.
Arrival/accommodation/free time to relax.
Afternoon
We will visit Vieille Ville, with tall tenement houses lined up along narrow and shadowed streets, restaurants, shops, and the galleries of local artists, selling everything here from Provencal spices to hand-made jewelry and cosmetics. Just go in and let yourself be carried away by the past, which is still very much present.
Notable attractions we will visit are
Cours Saleya
Place Massena
Promenade des Anglais
We will have dinner in one of the oldest and most traditional restaurants and spend the evening by the sea with fresh air and immersive atmosphere. Along the way, we will pass the Opera House and Patisserie Henri Auer â a chocolate and candied fruit workshop that has been operating here since 1820. Queen Victoria of England personally bought her favorite chocolates here

Day 2
Early morning we go for a yoga class, joining instructor Cecilia for a one-hour morning class, followed by vegan cookies and ginger tea against a unrivalled view of turquoise-and-sapphire Mediterranean backdrop coming from the hilltop Parc de la Colline du ChĂąteau
Then we visit the Old Port, actually called Port Lympia, where we will find some nice views as well as a place for a walk, but most importantly of all we will circle Castle Hill. From the port you will also reach Napoleon Bonaparte street and the tenement house where he lived.
Next, we depart for Monaco which is a very short trip by train, with amazing scenic views and a lot more to offer.
First Stop - Villefranche-sur-mer
We will discover quiet walkways, hidden streets, and ancient houses with old shutters and chalky paint. Painted in yellows, oranges, and pinks, they are like an imagined Mediterranean sunset dream.
Further towards the harbor, restaurants of all styles line les petites rues. Although the old village itself is not large, it is a gastronomique delight.
We will stop here for lunch in one of the fine restaurants line the wide promenade with tables on the water's edge, with amazing views of the spectacular coastline where luxury yachts float alongside simple local boats.
Monte Carlo. Monaco
We arrive in the sovereign city-state around 3pm and we have the whole second part of the day to stun at this glamorous city.
Live some of the books and films, including the first James Bond novel, Casino Royale. and the Bond movies Never Say Never Again which were filmed at the Casino de Monte Carlo, a unique experience. This decorated marble and bronze casino has all the glitz and glamour that has made this city famous. with the elegant square with a lush Japanese garden backdrop and luxury cars sightseeing.
Place du Palais with 600m2 of unique frescoes that date back to the Italian Renaissance, they have been brought to light by a series of events that owed much to chance. Starting in 2015 with major discoveries and astonishing twists, evolving on a daily basis. The restaurationâs outcome goes well beyond anything imaginable!
Grand Prix, Formula 1 will get you stunned at the 3.337-kilometre Circuit de Monaco with over 78 laps. And your heart skips a bit!
Finished this awesome day, we go back to Nice and have the evening free, to stroll in the beautiful streets or do shopping or just relax and recharge.
A walk in the midst of blue gold
The Chemin des Lavandes (Lavender road) in Sault blends the pleasure of a lovely walk and the discovery of a lavender field in flower, nestled near a charming village. An almost unavoidable way of visiting Provence and sharing some of its soul. The trail is a 4-km walking loop which goes through the Provencal landscapes and itâs simply amazing. We will go for an easy 1 hour and 40 minute-walk for all ages which gives an opportunity to find out a bit more about lavender with some notions of botany, culture and even distillation as the path goes through the biggest production area of true lavender in Europe.
