Hi, I'm Nvard - guide in Armenia since 2007. This time I offer a tailored product special for Urbex photographers. What makes this tour truly unique is the access it provides to exclusive and hard-to-reach locations that are not typically open to the public. The tour takes visitors through a variety of locations, including abandoned factories, military bases, and other structures that have been left untouched for years. These sites offer a glimpse into the past and showcase the industrial and architectural history of Armenia. The tour is designed for adventure seekers who want to explore Armenia from a different perspective. Visitors will be accompanied by experienced guides who are knowledgeable about the locations and can provide insights into their history and significance. The guides will also ensure that visitors have access to all sites and will help them navigate through challenging terrain. The exact location of the Urbex site will not be specified, as one of the key principles of Urbex is to keep the locations secret in order to preserve them.but can guaantee the worry free access. Meeting at the airport , transfer to hotel . In the evening we meet in a restaurant for dinner with national show (optional ) , to get to know each other and discuss the details for the next days . pleasae note check in time in hotel is 14:00.

Khor Virap

1 h drive to Khor virap monastery, withe the great view to mount bibilical mount Ararat . Khor Virap is a monastery and pilgrimage site located in the Ararat plain in Armenia, near the border with Turkey. It is known for its deep historical and religious significance, as it is believed to be the site where Saint Gregory the Illuminator, the patron saint of the Armenian Church, was imprisoned in a pit for 13 years before curing King Tiridates III of Armenia of an illness.

Noravank Monastery

Noravank Monastery is a 13th-century Armenian monastery located in a narrow gorge of the Amaghu River in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. The monastery complex is known for its intricate architecture, including decorative motifs and intricate carvings on the exterior walls. The journey to the Urbex site will take us through the stunning landscapes and scenery of Vayots dzor province, known for its rugged mountains and picturesque valleys. Once we arrive at the site, we will have the opportunity to explore the abandoned building or structure and capture its beauty through our cameras. we will have lunch in a gastro yard with wine tasting then drive to visit an abendoned factory for photography. Sevanavank monastery is a medieval Armenian monastic complex located on the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan, in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. It was built between the 10th and 13th centuries and is known for its unique architecture .The monastery consists of several buildings, including the main church, St. Nishan, which is adorned with intricate carvings and frescoes. Other notable structures include a bell tower, a library, and several chapels. Haghpat Monastery was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 for its cultural and historical significance, as well as its impressive architecture. It remains an important pilgrimage site and tourist attraction in Armenia. Overnight and dinner in the village.

Vanadzor

Vanadzor is known for its beautiful parks, including the Vanadzor Botanical Garden, and its impressive array of museums and galleries, such as the Vanadzor Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Lori. The city is also a popular destination for lovers of Soviet heritage and urbex explorers. Soviet pioneer camps were summer camps for children in the former Soviet Union, which were established to promote socialist ideology, physical fitness, and love for the Motherland. The camps were typically held in remote, picturesque locations, and included a range of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, camping, and educational programs. Children aged 9 to 15 were eligible to attend, and attendance was often considered a privilege. The camps were heavily subsidized by the government, and aimed to provide a healthy and fun environment for children to develop physically, intellectually, and socially, while instilling a sense of patriotism and Soviet values. Amberd

Garni

The first stop is Garni, a Pagan Temple referred to as the well known symbol of pre-Christian Armenia that was converted into a royal summer house. The Symphony of the stones , is a real wonder of nature , which we can visit in the Gani gorge. After Garni we will visit the UNESCO listed Geghard Monastery Complex. Some of the churches are situated in caves, whilst others are dug out of the surrounding rock face. You will then be transferred back to Yerevan.
