Unveiling the Wonders of Machu Picchu and Amazon Rainforest, welcome to Peru! (For couples)

Our expedition starts in the capital of Peru, where modernity blends seamlessly with colonial charm. We will stay in a nice Airbnb close to the Pacific Ocean in Miraflores. Miraflores is the most beautiful part of the city. Lima is a very special city, as it is built on a gigantic cliff next to the Pacific Ocean. During the day, we will explore Lima's historic centre and its vibrant art scene. In the evening, we will go out for a nice dinner. The next morning we will wake up early and take the bus to Paracas. The ride will take approximately 3.5 hours. Note: On the first picture, you can get a clear indication of the kind of hotel rooms in which we will be staying throughout our trip.

After our arrival in the early afternoon, we will go for lunch in this cool little village. After lunch, we are going to explore the Paracas national park. Paracas National Park is amazing! The cliffs and the ocean just blend together in this epic scene. The beaches are so peaceful, and you can spot cool marine wildlife. Note: This activity is optional. After our adventure to the national park, we will enjoy some delicious seafood alongside the ocean and get some time to relax on the beach. At night, we will go to the Kokopeli hostel to have a few drinks, play some pool and meet adventurers from all over the world. The next morning we are going to explore the Islas Ballestas. The Islas Ballestas, known as the "Galapagos of Peru," are a true paradise for nature enthusiasts. These stunning islands with diverse marine life and vibrant bird colonies ignite a sense of wonder. As you sail through the azure waters, the playful sea lions, the graceful seabirds, and the majestic presence of penguins paint a picture of untouched beauty. After lunch, we are going to take a 1-hour bus ride to Huacachina.

Huacachina is a desert oasis of pure beauty. Towering sand dunes surround a tranquil lagoon, creating a breathtaking sight. After our arrival we will take some time to unwind and in the evening our next adventure awaits us. We will go for a spectacular dune buggy ride through the desert. During this tour, we will also get the opportunity to do sandboarding, which is very fun as well. After watching the sunset, we will head back to the oasis and enjoy dinner. The next morning we will take 2.5 hour bus ride to Nazca.

In the afternoon, after our arrival, we will have lunch, and then it is time for our next adventure: A flight over the Nazca lines. This will be an inspiring journey into ancient mysteries. We will soar above the desert, and witness colossal geoglyphs etched into the earth below. Stare at the patterns and massive figures that have stood the test of time. From the sky, the Nazca Lines unveil their enigmatic allure, leaving you with a profound sense of wonder and curiosity. After this great adventure, we will take some time to relax. In the evening, we are going to enjoy another great dinner in the desert. The next morning, we are going to travel to Arequipa. This ride is going to take a little bit longer than the others, approximately 10 hours, but don't worry, the bus is going to be comfortable.

Day 5: In the late afternoon or early evening, we will arrive in Arequipa. In my opinion, Arequipa is Peru's most beautiful city. The colonial architecture and the great volcanoes around it, make this place truly beautiful. At dinner, we are going to enjoy one of Peru's most famous delicasies: Cuy. This is fried guinea pig, of course, if you don't want to eat it, you don't have to. At night, with the people who are up for it, we will go to Peru's best nightclub: La Casona Forum. Day 6: Today we will have another amazing adventure, we are going rafting! We are going in the afternoon, so the people who went to party can recover. I have done quite a few rafting tours all around the world, but none of them compare to this one. The views are amazing and the amount of adrenaline is perfect. Note: This activity is optional. Tonight we are going to bed early, because tomorrow another great aventure awaits us. Day 7. We are going to wake up at 4 am and head to the Colca Canyon. The Colca Canyon is one of the mightiest places in Latin America and home to one of its most majestic animals: El Condor. The largest bird in the entire world. The Colca Canyon is one of the deepest canyon's on earth, and the views of the mountain landscapes are fantastic. We will go to various viewpoints, at one of the viewpoints, we can get a very good look at the condors. Next to this, we will get a unique experience of the life in Peru's mountain villages. The next morning we will head to Cusco, a 9-hour bus ride.

Day 8: In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Cusco, a city deep in the Andes mountains and the gate to the Inca capital: Machu Picchu. At night, we are going to enjoy Peru's best pizza at a magnificent Italian restaurant. Day 9 In the morning, it's time for yet another adventure: ATV driving through the Andes mountains. One of the most spectacular activities in Latin America. We will see the most amazing mountain landscapes and visit a few beautiful mountain lakes, full of flamingos and other birds. Note: This activity is optional. In the afternoon, we are going to take some time to explore the city and go to a cool rooftop bar. Day 10 Today it's time for one of the highlights of our trip, the seventh wonder of the world: Machu Picchu. An ancient marvel nestled among majestic mountains. Explore the inspiring ruins, feel the spiritual energy, and witness the breathtaking views. A place that captures the imagination and leaves an everlasting impression. Are you tired of bus rides yet? Well, tomorrow is the last one. We are leaving the Andes mountains behind, and head to the lungs of the earth: The Amazon rainforest.

Day 11: In the afternoon, we will arrive in Puerto Maldonado, a small jungle town. Everything is different here, the people, the culture, the food and especially the climate. In the evening, we will enjoy a cocktail as the sun sets over the mighty Amazon River. Day 12, 13 and 14: River dolphins, alligators, monkeys, snakes, macaws, eagles, and a lot of other wild animals is what we are going to see when a small boat guides us through the Amazon rainforest. We will sleep in a lodge, gaze at the stars and see the unique lifestyle of small local communities. We are also going on jungle hikes and catch piranhas with self-made fishing rods. I can tell you with all my heart that the Amazon rainforest will give us an incredible experience. In the evening of day 14 we are going to take a flight back to Lima.

Our journey is slowly coming to an end, but we still have tonight! Let's make the most of it! First we are going to Peru's best steakhouse, afterwards we will dance the night away at Wahio's, a fantastic bar/nightclub. The next day we are going to the airport. Next to our luggage, we will take home memories that will last forever.
