South Africa was made for it. Let’s hit the road !

Olaf Bleibtreu, 40 | German-South African | Adventure Junkie & Foodie Extraordinaire From dog-sledding in Norway to overlanding across East Africa, from sailing Europe’s wild waters to trekking deep into the Himalayas—I've always chased the next big adventure. And now, I want to share the best of it with you. I know Africa like the back of my hand. For years, I’ve guided, cooked, and explored across Southern and Eastern Africa, turning every trip into an unforgettable journey. Whether it’s cooking slow food over an open fire, leading epic treks, or pouring the perfect glass of wine in the Cape Winelands, I bring passion, knowledge, and a few wild stories to the table. Beyond guiding, I’ve run my own food truck in Cape Town, cheffed on countless bush trips, and made it my mission to prove that adventure and great food go hand in hand. I take good food and wine seriously—because no day of exploring is complete without a legendary meal. When I’m not on the road, I’m in the air—paragliding for the past seven years and paramotoring for the last two. I’ve done solo treks through Namibia, Tanzania, Peru, and Ladakh, always seeking the raw beauty of the world’s most remote corners. This more than just a tour—it’s a personally curated adventure, a chance to experience Africa the way it should be: wild, authentic, and packed with unforgettable moments. Because life’s best memories aren’t made in the comfort zone.

Every night on this journey is just as memorable as the day’s adventures. Each accommodation offers a unique blend of style, character, and comfort—because after a day of epic exploring, you deserve a place that feels just as special. Having traveled across Southern Africa in every way possible, I can say with certainty: the Garden Route is a backpacker’s paradise. This style of travel gives you the most adventure for your buck, bringing together like-minded wanderers to share stories around the fire, swap travel tips, and truly experience the spirit of the road. Here, we still cherish the romance of travel—the kind that’s spontaneous, real, and packed with incredible moments. Along the way, we seamlessly mix leisurely hikes, ocean adventures, unforgettable meals, and world-class wildlife encounters. But this isn’t a rigid itinerary—it’s your trip, your way. If a chilled beach day sounds better than a long hike, we roll with it. The pace adjusts to fit your vibe, making sure every moment feels just right. Because the best journeys aren’t just about where you go, but how you experience them ---Price stated is for shared double rooms. Please inquire for single supplement. ---
