Kathmandu Durbar Square Tourism Promotion

We will be visiting places around the Kathmandu Durbar Square. One of the historical sites of modern Nepal. The capital was named after this city with the previous name "Kantipur". The only living goddess in the world resides in Kathmandu Durbar Square with her own sacred home. Indra Jatra; a week-long festival, is one of the most happening celebrations in this town, which generally falls in the month of September/October. There are many sites and places that can be only elaborated with exploration. Kanitpur was captured by King Prithivi Narayan Shah, a unification campaign leader around the 17th century, which led to the strong foundation for his unification venture.

Patan Darbar Square

Patan is rich in arts and handicrafts. Centuries before, the craftsmen were popular and were responsible for crafting and designing the temples in Kathmandu Valley. Buddhism is popular among the religions. There are many sacred places with the statue of Lord Buddha known as "Baha" and "Bahils" in Newari language; a local language spoken in this city. The city is also popular with street foods with local cuisine and traditional taste that will make the trip even wonderful.

Swayambhunath

Swayambhunath temple is the holy shrine in the heart of Kathmandu. It is the proof that the city was attached with Buddhism and people used to follow this religion with pride and glory. There are many stories related to the Swyambhunath and millions of devotees visits this place and learn the culture, tradition and lifestyle of Nepalese people.

Bagdwar

The city is not only rich in cultural glory but also equally popular for short day hikes around the hills of Kathmandu. Bagdwar lies in the area of Shivapuri National Park, the national park with is close to the city. It is a medium hike with refreshing air, varieties of flora and fauna, and the perfect place to see the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley. The statue of "Shivapuri Baba" remains as the sacred vibe of this trek.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur is perhaps the oldest city of Kathmandu Valley and is one of the richest sources of art and culture in Nepal. The 55 windows places which were built in the 17th century by popular Malla King Bhupatindra Malla are popular among cultural lovers. Similarly, Nyatapola temple (a five-storeyed building) which is the tallest temple in Nepal is majestic and has withstood many earthquakes and is still standing tall.
