At 5:30 pm, gather for a briefing on our upcoming adventure. It’s a chance to set the stage for our journey and connect with fellow travellers. After that, head out for our first group dinner! While our tour promises ample swimming time, beach enthusiasts are welcome to arrive earlier. Please note the possibility of encountering sargassum algae, which can affect the beach experience. Snorkeling Reefs and Exploring Cenotes Today’s adventure begins with a brief snorkelling tour at Puerto Morelos Reef, followed by exploring the breathtaking Xu’x Ha Cenote, one of the best cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula. In the afternoon, we’ll journey to Pisté, the closest village to the Chichen Itzá Site. - Included Activities: Snorkel Tour. Day 3: Discovering Chichén Itzá and Mayan Traditions Today, we embark on a journey to explore the world-famous Chichén Itzá Site. As soon as it opens, we’ll enter this UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the largest ancient cities in the world. Marvel at the iconic Kukulcan Pyramid, one of the seven wonders of the world, as we traverse through the ancient ruins. After our visit, the Yucatec Mayans will welcome us. Experience their rich traditions and savour a delightful traditional lunch prepared by the community. Finally, we will arrive in Bacalar, a beautiful relaxed village in front of a pristine lagoon. We’ll show you the main square and the best restaurant options. - Included Activities: Chichén Itza Archeological Site Guided Visit. Learn Mayan traditions at Xyaat Community - Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch - Facilities: Hotel, Wi-Fi for a small fee, AC and access to the lagoon. In the afternoon, we venture to the wilder area of the lagoon, Xul Ha, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a free afternoon of swimming and kayaking. - Included Activities: Sailing Tour at Bacalar Lagoon. Calakmul

Mayan Wonders and Bat Cave Adventure Today, we’ll embark on an expedition to either the Becan or Calakmul Archeological Site, depending on the opening schedules affected by nearby railway construction. Both sites are nestled within one of Mexico’s largest reserves, boasting diverse flora and fauna. These remote sites offer a rare opportunity for tourists to climb their ancient pyramids. As we wander through the ruins, keep an eye out for exotic wildlife, including woodpeckers and echoing howler monkeys. In the afternoon, we’ll venture to a bat sinkhole and witness millions of bats emerge from the cave at sunset. Later, we’ll settle into our accommodation, consisting of basic cabins. - Included Activities: Visit Becan or Calakmul Archeological Site (not guided). Day 6: Cenote Exploration and Camp Adventure Today’s journey takes us to Palenque, but not without a memorable stop at Cenote Miguel Colorado for lunch. This open cenote offers a unique and refreshing experience, distinct from the ones we’ve explored before. Keep an eye out for exotic wildlife, including spider monkeys. Upon arrival at Palenque National Park, we’ll settle into our campsite at Cabañas Kin Balam. With the evening free, take the opportunity to unwind and relax at the bar or by the pool, soaking in the tranquil surroundings. In the evening, we will enjoy a bonfire under the stars! - Included Activities: Cenote Miguel Colorado - Included Meals: Breakfast, Cook Group Lunch - Facilities: Camping accommodations with upgrades available, along with Wi-Fi, a pool, a bar, a restaurant, and laundry services. - Route: Approximately 5.5 h / 390 Km - Day 7: Exploring Palenque National Park Marvels Our second day in Palenque promises an enriching experience as we embark on a guided visit to the Archeological Site. Marvel at the exquisite Mayan architecture, intricate sculptures, and captivating bas-relief carvings that adorn the site. After the guided tour, take advantage of the opportunity to explore the surrounding jungle on a scenic hike back from the ruins. Depending on road conditions, we may take different routes and have the chance to visit some stunning waterfalls along the way, provided the water is crystal blue—a spectacle influenced by recent rainfall. We’ll spend two memorable days exploring the myriad attractions, ensuring you experience the best that San Cristóbal has to offer. In the afternoon, feel free to continue your exploration at your own pace. We’ll then continue to visit Mujeres Sembrando La Vida, a cooperative that hosts a Tsotsil learning centre, providing insight into local traditions and community projects. Returning to San Cristóbal, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the town’s museums, including exhibits on Mayan medicine, orchids, folk costumes, and more. Day 12: Driving day. Nature’s Splendor and Turtle Liberation Today we set off early in the morning with a rollie breakfast in tow, destined for Oaxaca’s Pacific coast. Upon arrival at La Ventanilla Beach, we’ll be greeted by the mesmerizing hues of the sunset. If the timing aligns with nature’s rhythm, we’ll have the chance to witness a remarkable event: a turtle liberation. As we soak in the sights and sounds of the beach at La Ventanilla, be mindful of the soaring temperatures, reaching up to 35ºC, and the probability of mosquitoes in the evening. While swimming is not recommended due to strong waves, the coastline offers a breathtaking backdrop for relaxation. - Activities: Included: Turtle Liberation (if available).
