Ericeira has been listed as one of the top digital nomad destinations – and that for a reason. It can be reached in only 40min from Lissabon and has been named a world surf reserve – and thereby Europe's only surf reserve. A place that has been acknowledged officially for its beauty and perfect wave conditions – and therefore enjoys special protection. The nice, mostly sunny weather and the seabreeze give the place a unique vibe that makes for a high quality of life. Ericeira is situated on the Atlantic coast in Portugal. Ericeira is big on surfing. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or advanced – in Ericeira and the surrounding beaches you find a surf break suiting your level. And the cool thing is that the best beaches are just a stone's throw away from the center. But even if you don't surf there is plenty of stuff to do: There are different yoga studios, cross fitness and the cliffs make for some great runs. The town, a former fisher's village but now up-and-coming, has a unique charme with its cute houses, small streets and cute coffeeshops. It has a big digital nomad community and a handful of good co-working offices. The summer it gets busier but still it's not overly crowded – and there are many events like festivals, live concerts and pizza parties going on. So you won't get bored for sure! I have been living in Ericeira for four months and fell in love with this place – and I hope you will too and I will do my best to show you around the coolest spots and organize some fun activities and excursions whenever we are not working.
