Dresden is well known as the "Florence of the Elbe" - come explore with me! On this trip, we will visit the Zwinger which is in the heart of the old town, the Neumarkt, and the Church of our Lady. In the afternoon, we will walk in the creative and trendy district of Dresden Neustadt and have some drinks in a nice bar. The next day if the weather is nice we will do some hiking and go to the beautiful Saxon Switzerland National Park, the famous Bastei lookout rock, and one of the largest fortifications in Europe, the Königstein Fortress. If not, we will go to Meissen. It is a small town on the Elbe river downstream from Dresden which is world-famous for its production of porcelain. We don't need a rental car or anything like that, because in Dresden there is good public transport.

About me: My name is Katia, 36 years old, I am from Nicaragua, and I am currently living in Dresden, Germany. I am so in love with this city and I want to give you a tour of the most beautiful and interesting places of the city where I live. This is my first trip as a TripLeader and I promise you that I will do my best to make this trip amazing. Accommodation: We will stay at a hostel in a 6-bed shared room with breakfast included. If you are seeking more privacy, a private room upgrade is available for an additional fee. There is free Wi-Fi. The hostel is located in the vibrant art quarter of Dresden-Neustadt, Neustadt. There are bars, pubs, and restaurants. The tram stops are nearby to go to the Dresden Old Town and to the S-bahn stop. NOTE: Please make sure to bring sports shoes, an umbrella if it rains, and a jacket. Do you have a question? Tag 1-2

Arrive in Dresden and check in at our hotel located in Dresden Neustadt! We will do a meet-and-greet over a delightful lunch, and we will walk to the touristy spots in the heart of the old town like Frauenkirche, Dresden Royal Palace, Zwinger, Brühl's Terrace, The Georgentor and the Procession of Princes, Golden Horseman, Semper Opera and Theaterplatz. Zwinger, the Neumarkt, and the Church of our Lady.

Tag 2-3

Depending on the weather, we have two options: Option 1: Following breakfast, we will go to the beautiful Saxon Switzerland National Park and go hiking. We will take the S-bahn, then a ferry, and then we will start hiking to the park. After taking photos and videos, we will have lunch there. In the afternoon, we will go back to Dresden, and we could have drinks in Dresden Neustadt. Option 2: Following breakfast, we will go to the charming town of Meissen, walk around the old town that has picturesque streets and colorful buildings. We will go Schlossbrüke (Castle Bridge), Albrechtsburg Castle, Meissen Cathedral and Meissen Porcelain Factory that is one of the oldest porcelain factory in all of Europe. We will have lunch in the old town and in the evening, we will go back to Dresden, and we will have drinks in Dresden Neustadt.

Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time in the morning to indulge in last-minute shopping or visit any attractions you might have missed. Complete the check-out process at the hotel and bid farewell.
