The apartment is 20 minutes from Oktoberfest and close to public transport and shops. We arrive on Friday during the day and will then go shopping at the C&A for an authentic Dirndl or Lederhosen outfit. After Oktoberfest, we can go clubbing for those who are keen, or head back with a taxi to our accommodation.

Check out is flexible on Sunday. This is where we say goodbye. Since we did not sleep that much, that will be welcome. We hand back our keys and get back home. Here are some fun facts about Oktoberfest: 1. The very first Oktoberfest took place in Munich, Germany in 1810 as a celebration of the wedding between Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The festivities were so grand that it became an annual tradition. 2. Oktoberfest is all about beer! More than 7 million liters of beer are consumed during the festival. That's enough to fill about three Olympic-sized swimming pools! 3. Traditional Bavarian outfits, known as dirndls for women and lederhosen for men, are commonly worn during Oktoberfest. They add to the festive atmosphere and make for great photo opportunities. 4. Besides beer, traditional Bavarian cuisine is a big part of the Oktoberfest experience. You can indulge in delicious treats like pretzels, sausages, sauerkraut, and roasted chicken. 5. The "Schottenhamel" tent is the place to be on the opening day of Oktoberfest. That's where the Mayor of Munich taps the first keg of beer and shouts "O'zapft is!" which means "It's tapped!" 6. In addition to beer tents, there are also carnival rides, games, and attractions at Oktoberfest. From Ferris wheels to roller coasters, there's something for everyone to enjoy. 7. Oktoberfest has become a global celebration, with events inspired by the Munich festival taking place in cities around the world. So even if you can't make it to Germany, you might still be able to join in the fun closer to home. Oktoberfest is a lively and memorable experience, filled with good times, great food, and of course, plenty of beer. Enjoy responsibly and immerse yourself in the festive spirit! 🍻🎡
