A retreat of Tao practices, the Yoga of the five elements including Chinese medicine, Chinese Qi Gong and Sound healing with unique instruments - all in the heart of the mountains of Madeira, surrounded by all elements of nature, with mountain and sea views. International teachers lead the retreat with more than 10 years of experience. Recalibrate your body, energy and spirit, with Tao and Eastern practices based on discipline, purification and transformation with the power of the five elements, sounds and Mother Nature. All together in 6 days. The immersion teaching includes: - 5 intensive morning Qi practices; Qigong, Taiji, internal Japanese martial arts elements, Tao of yoga (mornings 3-4 hrs) - 5 sound healing sessions - 1 cliff and ocean trip - 1 breathtaking mountain exploration - Japanese tea ceremonies - full-board, 3 meals/day included - mindful local vegetarian/vegan meals made by our conscious chef Open to all levels, intensity is adjusted on the spot. Extra healing moments available on request (not included): - private Reiki session - private energy reading session - private Sound healing session - ayurvedic massage Our mantra: 'Become like Water - strong & soft in the same time'.

Certified Japanese-style Reiki, Yin-Yang yoga teacher, and Japanese and Shaolin martial arts practitioner, with 12+ years of experience. I have accumulated teachings from 61 countries, with a focus on Japan, China, and Indonesia, where I had the privilege of learning from sacred wisdom keepers and masters. Today I'm delighted to be able to serve and pass on these arts and wisdom for the benefit of others.

The retreat space is a grouping of traditional Madeiran houses. Situated in beautiful countryside, with sea and mountain views, it is a place that exudes peace and tranquillity. The houses are less than 100 meters from each other and access is via a small levada (small aqueduct). Madeira is a unique geographical and cultural blip—a rich little universe of rough mountains and lush slopes slapped by Atlantic breakers off the coast of Africa.

Vulcanic beach, one of the trips will be into exploring the cliffs and volcanic black beaches, where we'll do a practice with the elements. One of the retreat teachers, Melanie, has been living in Madeira for 10 years so she'll bring us to explore unforgettable hidden ocean gems.

The strength of Madeira lies in the variety landscapes and the power of Earth and Water elements. Rising from sea level to 1,862m, hikes in Madeira can mean anything from climbing mountain peaks with Atlantic views to walking through lush forests to strolling around the rugged, cliff-drop coasts on a dry and dusty path. We'll explore the breathtaking ones.
