Suggested Itinerary

Two bedroom penthouse apartment booked in Velez-Malaga. We have a pre-trip consultation to decide what would make your retreat perfect - counselling, life goal setting, relaxing walks in the hills, sightseeing or beach days. The property has one double and one twin bedroom, and can be booked by two individual ladies (either friends together or separately) or a couple. I am sorry, but I cannot accept bookings from single males for this trip, as the room layout would prevent any ladies or couples from attending. The accomodation is already booked, and will go ahead without any minimum number. So you can safely go ahead and book the cheapest flights, now, well in advance! This is not a 'dressy' holiday - mostly shorts and t-shirts - so you will easily manage with the usual 10kg hand baggage allowance. I will be on the 0620 Ryanair flight from Stansted (FR8162) and returning on the FR8165 on the Friday, getting into Stansted at 2055. Free airport transfers can be provided within 30 miles of Stansted if using the same flights as me.

I am a registered counsellor with the CMA, with experience in bereavement, relationship and work stress counselling. I am also certificated in lifestyle coaching and massage. Fully insured and First Aid trained. I am the founder of a 'not for profit' company that offers these counselling retreats in a relaxed environment, for those that cannot afford the high cost of counselling in the UK.

If only one person booked they will have their own separate room. If couple booked together, they will also have their own room. If two separate bookings made for ladies, they will share twin room. Accommodation is already booked and pre-paid. Should the apartment owner cancel the booking for any reason, we will provide an aprtment, or villa, of a similar or higher standard.

Vélez-Málaga

Tag 1-2

There is spectacular mountain scenery between Velez-Malaga and Corumbela, where we had a villa retreat in 2024. We stay all 4 nights at our Velez-Malaga apartment. Velez Malaga is a 45 minute drive from Malaga Airport. We have our two bedroom penthouse apartment and access to the apartment's swimming pool. One double bedded room and one with twin beds. We stop at the local Eroski Hypermarket to get food and drink that you like for your stay.

Playa de Almayate

Tag 2-3

A relaxing day at the beach, following all the travel from the day before. Almayate beach is just 20 minutes drive from our apartment. The beach is sand and shingle, and the large and lovely beach has a beachside restaurant, serving good food at reasonable cost. This beach is far quieter than Velez-Malaga or Torre-de-mar. Back to Apartment in late afternoon

Gibraltar

Tag 3-4

We have day of sightseeing today. You have the choice of visiting the Alhambra Palace or experiencing the Rock of Gibraltar. Both are 2 hours drive from the apartment, and a trip to Gib includes the cable car and afternoon tea at the 'top of the rock'. The Alhambra Palace entrance fee (around 40 Euros) is not included if choosing that option.

Corumbela

Tag 4-5

This is very much an optional day of your choice. After a car trip yesterday, we can go walking in the hills near Corumbela, or for beach lovers you can have an additional day at the beach. Other sightseeing options can be agreed.

Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport

Tag 5

I'm afraid it is time to leave the apartment and head for the airport. We still have time for another afternoon at local sites, and a last meal in Spain before the flight home after a relaxing and refreshing break.
