Let me take you through an epic road trip covering the four corners of Sri Lanka (mainland), We will start off from Colombo, lets decide on the exact meeting point when we have the expected number of trip mates. We will visit Kalpitiya which will be our first destination where we will visit Western most point on mainland Sri Lanka and we will then travel to Jaffna through jungles on scenic roads and catch the setting sun from a beach in Jaffna before retiring for the day. Next day we will travel further north to Sakkotai Point which is the northern most point of Sri Lanka, then we travel back to Jaffna for lunch to enjoy a nice vegetarian lunch and the famous RIO ice cream. Evening we will spend time in Trincomalee which will be our next stop. From Trincomalee we will head to Pasikudah beach (you can take a nice dip in the sea) and travel down to Batticalao where we will have lunch and proceed to Sangamankanda Point the eastern most point of Sri Lanka, and retire to Arugambay the famous surfing destination. On the last day we head to Point Dondra the southern most point of Sri Lanka where we will have lunch and head back to Colombo. Throughout the trip you will get a chance to savour the various cultures and their unique food.
About me! Hi I'm Lakdasa but since most people find it hard to pronounce my name you can call me Lucky. I am an experienced salesperson in the Automobile field currently working for a premium brand in Sri Lanka. On my days off I like to travel and enjoy the beauty of mother nature, be it living or just the spectacular sights. I love to travel and explore new destinations that I have not visited and I would like other like-minded people to join me explore the world. I am a very considerate person but I would expect all my trip mates to be lawful and not harm the environment in any way. After all, we should only leave footsteps behind.
Details about the accommodation: We will be sharing a shared room and some places will be cabanas or villas. So expect to come ready to share a bedroom or a bed with trip mates. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be included in the price. Since I am a teetotaler I will not be providing alcohol. Colombo
Tag 1
Welcome to the economic capital of Sri Lanka. We will meet up in Colombo and exchange pleasantries before we depart. We will decide on the pickup point closer to the dates so that it will be very easy for you. Let's all get to know each other.

Kalpitiya
Tag 1
Hidden somewhere in Kalpitiya is the most western part of mainland Sri Lanka, famous for the sandy beaches and kite surfing Kalpitiya offers a unique experience. We will visit the most Western Point of Sri Lanka and savour a nice breakfast Kalpitiya style.

Mannar
Tag 1
Mannar is in the western part of Sri Lanka and the Thalaimannar peer used to ferry people to and from India as it is the closest point to India from the mainland. We will visit the Talaimannar peer and then have our lunch.

Jaffna
Tag 1-2
We will rush to Kayts to see the Sunset into the India Ocean and explore the Kayts Fort of old and head back to Jaffna where we will stay the night and experience authentic Jaffna curries at a famous restaurant that serves Jaffna style prawn and crab curries.

Sakkotei Cape
Tag 2
Moving to the Northern most part of Sri Lanka, but not before we cool off at the Casurina beach off Jaffna and dip our feet at the Keerimalai pond. We then head towards Point Pedro lighthouse which most people mistake as the northern most point in Sri Lanka.

Jaffna
Tag 2
We will head back to Jaffna to savour a vegetarian lunch and for a bit of ice cream from the famous RIO ice cream where you can experience the various flavours and enjoy some sweets from Jaffna. Then we get back on the road heading to Nilaveli.

Nilaveli
Tag 2-3
This will be our next stop and resting place, we will be in Trinco by evening and retire to our hotel in Nilaveli and enjoy eastern cuisine and take a well earned rest as the next day is going to start early as we need to wake up early to see the rising sun from the beach.

Batticaloa
Tag 3
After the spectacular sun rise we head towards Batticaloa and stop at Pasikudah beach where you can take a dip in the sea cool yourself down and enjoy miles of gold sandy beaches. Then we will head to the town for lunch and after filling up with some Batticaloa style food we can start off again to the Eastern most point of Sri Lanka

Sangamankanda Point Lighthouse
Tag 3
We will visit the eastern most point of Sri Lanka at Sangamankanda Point and enjoy the beach and the view. Thus far we have covered 3 of the points that we wanted to cover. So now to relax we will move towards Arugambay which is not that far from Sangamankanda point.

Arugam Bay
Tag 3-4
Famous for its surfing beach we will be just in time to catch a wave, we will find our next rest stop at Arugam Bay in Potuvil near the beach so that we have sometime to enjoy a bit of surfing if you are interested but this is at your discretion as I have not budgeted for them.

Dondra Lighthouse
Tag 4
The southern most point of Sri Lanka we will visit the lighthouse but unfortunately getting permission to climb up will be difficult so we will have to see the surroundings including the dragonmouth (jagged rocks on the beach) We will have our last meal together before head back to Colombo and enjoy the view and the beach whilst doing so and exchange our experiences together.

Its time to say by to my trip mates, I will drop everyone off at the pre selected location and see guys off. Hoping that you enjoyed my trip, and lets share our experiences and see where we could have had ore fun and where the trip would have been more interesting.
