Beyond the usual pita gyros, we'll explore the rich flavors of Greece, with visits to a pistachio farm, olive grove, and vineyard for tastings. Indulge in traditional Greek dishes at a taverna, enjoy private pool and beach access, and relax in comfortable accommodations for three nights. Limited to a small group of 10 people, this journey promises an unforgettable and intimate culinary experience in the heart of Greece. Traveling with us means going on a deep dive into an unexplored version of Greece and its gastronomic culture. We are collaborating with remarkable farmers, cultivators, and chefs. All of whom will welcome you to their lands and provide an insight into their life and purpose. The experience will take you to places where seemingly time moves a little bit slower. Acquire a sense of tranquility and be surrounded by people and landscapes unlike any other. Your senses will be awakened by all that you discover, let us take you on that journey.
About me! Hello there! I'm Dutch/Greek, grew up in NL and have spent much time studying and working abroad.
Details about the accommodation: We'll be staying in Villa Lion. Villa Lion is a modern property facing the Gulf of Megara in the province of Corinthia. It is located 1hr outside of Athens, and has a private pool, direct access to the beach, areas of shade, plus a garden on the sea and back side of the villa. The villa consists of 6 bedrooms across 2 levels, multiple open spaces, balconies, a kitchen, an elevator, and a pool table. Every room has A/C, and free WIFI is available. Your first day is all about taking your time to settle in. We provide transport from Athens airport or downtown Athens city centre to the villa. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, you'll be welcomed with an aperitivo and special dinner organised by a well known organiser of private dining events all around Greece.

Friday morning you wake up to the lovely smell of coffee, roasted by a specialty coffee store in Athens. After a breakfast made up of local products, you'll be taken to an olive grove where an incredible Extra Virgin Olive Oil Sommelier will host you for a tour in her olive grove + tasting. You'll even be able to take some extra virgin olive oil bottles back home if you'd like! In the early afternoon, you'll go from the olive grove to one of the most famous vineyards in the Nemea region. Here you'll enjoy a tour, tasting, and lunch. After the transfer back to the villa and some time to relax in the pool / sea, we'll make our way to a traditional Greek taverna for a fish dinner.

With a chance to do some yoga in the morning or go for a beach run on your own leisure, we start the day with some breakfast and coffee. Once all ready for the day, you'll make your way to the pistachio farm. This plot of land is incredibly rich in it being the source of all goodness that ends up in a pistachio. You'll learn about the growth cycle of the pistachio nut, as well as be treated to a sampling of how you can use pistachio in your own kitchen. A simple lunch after the pistachio farm visit sets up the rest of the afternoon. Back at the villa, you can take some time for yourself. All to get ready for one of the guaranteed highlights of your trip. The evening consists of an open fire dinner, several courses, wine pairing and a stunning location during sunset.

Sunday you'll wake up, content and ready to take on the day. There'll be time to sleep in a bit, enjoy a nice brunch at the villa and around 14.00 the transfer will come by to take you back to Athens city centre or straight to the airport if you prefer.
