The French Riviera is an area full of beautiful cities, astounding scenery and luscious sunshine. This is why it is a dream destination for many travelers. On this trip, I want to journey all along the south of France for a magical European experience. We will start and end in Nice, whilst also visiting Cannes, Monaco and a collection of other charming towns on our journey. We will embark on beautifully, scenic train rides and majestic car drives as we make our way along the coast. Have a read of the full itinerary below and join me for a few days of Mediterranean wonder!
My name is Josh and I am from the UK. I am 27 years old and I have experience travelling all over Europe (and some other parts of the world). One of my dream destinations has always been Monaco and I am excited to finally be visiting it! But why stop there? I decided it would be better to incorporate my Monaco dream into one epic adventure along the French Riviera coastline.
The accommodation will be a series of hotels and nice AirBnBs. The rooms will be shared. Once the number of tripmates has been confirmed, I will be able to finalise all the bookings and can provide extra information on what meals will be included in our stay. Either way, we will always be staying near convenience stores and other amenities so you will be able to get anything you need within a few minutes.

Nice
Tag 1-2
We will start the trip in Nice, one of the most famous French cities. The first day is the day of arrival and there are no specific plans. We will all meet and get to know each other over dinner and drinks in the evening. We will initially spend one night and one morning together in Nice before leaving in the afternoon to properly start our adventure!

Cannes
Tag 2-5
First, we will journey next to Cannes. Once we arrive and after we are settled, we will spend the rest of the day exploring the city. We can walk along the beautiful boulevard and explore the historic old market town, among other things. We will then spend another two full days in the area. One of these days will be spent on a day trip to the beautiful town of Grasse - which is a stunning must-see gem of the French Riviera.

Nice
Tag 5-8
After Cannes, we will return to Nice and experience the city properly. Nice is an extraordinary place with lots to do - from exploring old buildings to spending time at the coast. While in Nice, we will take part in a boat tour and a wine tour. We will also spend a day on the 'Train des Merveilles' (aka the Wonder Train) where we will travel up to Tende whilst moving through charming villages and stunning landscapes. We will spend a couple hours in Tende before heading back to Nice on the train. We can then choose if we want to hop off at any of the villages we saw on the way up.

Èze
Tag 8
Our next stop is the beautifully picturesque town of Èze. Some people consider it to be the most beautiful place on the French Riviera. We will leave Nice in the morning, spend most of the day in Èze, before heading to Monaco in the evening. Èze has a renowned garden we will visit, plus a highly-rated shopping district. Also, we will be sure to snap some pics here for Instagram!

Monaco
Tag 8-11
This will be the highlight of the trip for me! Monaco is quite small, but there is a lot to see - from the famous harbour to the Monte Carlo casino. We will spend most of the time sight-seeing. Monaco is also frequented by the rich and famous so maybe we can try to photobomb some paparazzi pics if we see a famous celebrity!

Menton
Tag 11-12
There are couple more picturesque towns which are worth visiting, the first one being Menton. Menton has some notable gardens to see as well as the town to explore. We will spend one day and one night here.

Ventimiglia
Tag 12-13
Ventimiglia is another cute, little town on the Mediterranean. It is actually just across the border in Italy. We will journey in the morning and spend the rest of the day here. Ventimiglia has some old, traditional Italian architecture and historical landmarks plus a beautiful coastline. We will spend our final night together here before heading back to Nice the next morning.

Nice
Tag 13
In the morning, we will travel back to Nice where we will say our goodbyes. Nice seems to be the best location to for us to arrive and depart from. However, if you would like to continue journeying into Italy on your own after Ventimiglia, you are welcome to do that instead of returning to Nice.
