About me! I'm a passionate traveler. Prior to settling in Georgia, I spent almost eight years living in Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia. I've embarked on motorcycle journeys, worked in the outback, and explored various hiking trails across Georgia. In recent years, I've been working as a Divemaster in Northwest Florida. Since my relocation to Tbilisi, I've been immersing myself in all that this incredible place has to offer. Now, I aspire to assist others in having the same remarkable experiences that captured my heart and made me fall in love with this city. Let's embark on this journey together!

Reiseverlauf
1

Narikala Fortress

Tag 1
We begin the day with a cable car ride up the hillside to Narikala Fortress. From here, we will enjoy panoramic views of the city, and a small walk to the Mother of Georgia Statue, while I give the group a brief history of the people of Georgia.
2

144 Stairs Cafe

Tag 1
After the fortress, we will hike over to 144 Stairs Café, where we can enjoy lunch with a view. This café is known for its delicious plates, vibey musical selection, and the friendly cats that roam the premises.
3

Dzveli Tbilisi

Tag 1
From the café, we will hike down the hill and spend the afternoon perusing the shops and churches tucked away in Old Tbilisi. This section of the city is famous for its charming architecture, notably, red-brick buildings with colorful and intricate wooden balconies.
4

Ethnographer

Tag 1-2
Finally, we will ride over to the restaurant Ethnographer to enjoy Georgian dinner, traditional wine, and a performance of Georgian dance and polyphonic singing. Georgian polyphonic singing is one of the treasures of the region, and it pairs nicely with Georgian traditional wine (made in a large clay vessel called a quevri).
5

Georgian National Museum

Tag 2
We will start the day with a walk down Rustaveli Avenue, one of Tbilisi's scenic streets. Our destination will be the Georgian National Museum. Here, we can explore Georgia's rich history, from an exhibit on the ancient human remains that have been discovered here, to the extraordinary legacy of Georgian gold-smithing and the region's role in the Silk Road.
6

Ghebi

Tag 2
After we work up an appetite, we will break for lunch at one of Tbilisi's more rustic and down to earth restaurants. Here you can observe, and maybe participate in the age old tradition of eating Khinkali (meat-filled soup dumplings) with shots of chacha (hard liquor distilled from grape skins).
7

Dry Bridge Market

Tag 2
We will spend the afternoon hunting for souvenirs at the Dry Bridge Market. This market features a huge collection of vintage items related to Georgian and Soviet history. It's a great place to pick up your very own drinking horn!
8

8000 Vintages

Tag 2-3
We will end the night becoming familiar with the different grape varieties and wines that Georgia has to offer by visiting 8000 Vintages, a restaurant the specializes in wine. This is a perfect opportunity to put on your sommelier cap and get to know Georgian wine the easiest way, by drinking it!
9

Jvari Monastery

Tag 3
We will begin our day trip outside Tbilisi by visiting Jvari Monastery. Completed in the late 6th century AD, this monastery is the sight where St. Nino converted the King of Georgia to Christianity, ushering in the Orthodox Christian Georgia that exists today.
10

Mtskheta

Tag 3
After the monestary, we will venture to the nearby town of Mtskheta. This town is famous for its quaint, narrow streets, filled with wine and souvinier shops. More importantly, it hosts Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. This church features impressive frescos that are old enough to contain the zodiac. The church also contains the robe that Jesus was allegedly buried in. We'll break for lunch at one of the nearby cafes.
11

Salobie

Tag 3-4
We will finish the day at Salobie, a famous roadside restaurant known for its boisterous atmosphere and . . . beans! Salobie in Goergian means "place for beans." For those who like other things, the rest of the menu is also delicious.
12

Chronicle of Georgia

Tag 4
We will begin our final day with a trip to the Chronicle of Georgia, a monument to the history of Georgia, and the story of the New Testament. Built by a Russian-Georgian sculptor in the 1980s, this monument was never fully finish, and yet it is impressive as it is.
13

Mukhambazi

Tag 4
During lunch, we will attend a Churchela making masterclass. Georgians love walnuts, and have combined them with everything but grapes. Churchela was said to have been invented to solve this gap in the cuisine. We will enjoy making our own delicious treats!
14

Gulo's Thermal Spa

Tag 4
In the late afternoon, we'll spend a couple hours relaxing in one of Tbilisi's famous Thermal Spas. The legend of the city revolves around these naturally hot thermal springs. While there, we will enjoy the option to receive a traditional scrub.
15

Alubali Restaurant

Tag 4-5
We will finish our trip at Alubali restaurant. This cozy restaurant features excellent renditions of Georgian dishes, with a lush green setting, and a good selection of Georgian wine. Here we can chat about our favorite moments from the trip, and our favorite aspects of Georgian culture.
