This carefully crafted journey will take you to captivating destinations, offering a perfect blend of exploration, cultural encounters, and natural wonders. As your Trip Leader, I am committed to ensuring your comfort and satisfaction throughout the journey. With my expertise in cultural immersion and a passion for travel, I will create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. My goal is to foster meaningful connections, promote understanding of different cultures, and create unforgettable experiences for each TripMate. In February, you can expect pleasant weather in Lima, Cusco, and the Sacred Valley. The temperatures are typically mild, ranging from around 59°F (15°C) during the day to cooler temperatures at night. This makes it comfortable to explore the cities and archaeological sites and engaging in outdoor activities. While February is considered part of the rainy season in the Amazon Rainforest and Colca Canyon, it doesn't mean that it's not worth visiting. In fact, it can be a unique experience as you witness the lush greenery and encounter fewer crowds. It's important to be prepared for occasional rain showers and pack appropriate rain gear. Join me on this extraordinary journey to Peru, where ancient wonders, landscapes, and indigenous cultures await. Together, let's create cherished memories and embrace the magic that this country has to offer.

Cusco

Tag 1-6
Accommodation: Stay in a centrally located hotel in Cusco. Activities: On the first days, we will be able to take a walking tour of Cusco's enchanting streets, visit the iconic Plaza de Armas, and explore the ruins of Sacsayhuaman and Qenqo. In the following days, according to everyone's preferences, we can make a day trip to many incredible places, as Cusco is a great starting point. The options are: - the Sacred Valley to visit Pisac. The Pisac Archaeological Park is one of the best day trips from Cusco. With its impressive ruins from the Inca era and its extraordinary and fascinating landscape formations, this place will not leave you unmoved. Písac is part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and, therefore, can only be visited with the Boleto Turístico. You can choose between a two and 10-day ticket that includes additional attractions of the Sacred Valley. - Ollantaytambo, located just an hour and a half northwest of Cusco, is small but as essential a part of the Sacred Valley as it was in the era of the Incas. Afterward, we can visit the Awamaki store. This non-profit works with weaving cooperatives of indigenous women and markets their creations internationally to bring sustainable income to local communities. You’ll find lovely-crafted textiles, perfect for taking home as a thoughtful souvenir. - Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) Rainbow Mountain is known for its colorful mountain peak with several different layers of vibrant minerals. These layers are created by the various minerals in the soil, including clay, mud, sand, quatorze, sandstone, calcium carbonate, and claystone. The hike overall is manageable, with a gradual incline until close to the peak. The altitude makes the trail challenging, topping off at 16,000 feet at the highest point. - the Moray & Maras and a hike to Huchuy Qosqo. In Moray, we'll find one of the most famous Inca ruins. From Maras, we can visit the Salineras of Maras, a large and photogenic salt production site across the valley. The easiest way to do this trip in one day is to use the same taxi all day. - Humantay Lake, located about 2 hours outside the city, Humantay Lake is one of Cusco's most picturesque day trips. The hike to Humantay Lake is only 2.6 miles round trip and takes about 2 hours to complete. Don’t let the short miles fool you: this Cusco hike is strenuous. A 1,200-foot elevation at a high altitude will leave you huffing and puffing. I will make a definitive plan after hearing everyone's opinion. What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, warm clothing for cooler evenings, a rain jacket or poncho, insect repellent, a hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle.
