Have you ever been to a Brazilian carnival? If not, this is your chance! São Paulo Carnival is one of the most colorful carnival events in the world, I'm planning the trip to enjoy the carnival starting on Saturday (10/02) until Wednesday (14/02) of 2024. On Saturday night we are going to watch the traditional samba school parade, on the other days we are going to the carnival street blocks during the day and at night we can rest in the hostel room, that way we can start the party again in the morning of the next day and so on until Tuesday. On Wednesday we can visit Casa das Rosas, a nice place for pictures, having lunch and also to see cultural exposition. The schedule for the carnival blocks is not ready yet, but I can assure you that they are always very good, and besides, as soon as they publish it, we can choose together which blocks we want to go to. For this kind of trip, it's better if we use public transportation. We usually eat while we are out, or we can order something through a delivery food. About the prices: The carnival street blocks are FREE, I add the price of the accommodation and ticket for the samba school parade, transport costs can vary a lot, so I think we can divide it according to our use and other costs will depend on each person's consumption.

P.S.: We can share a room in the hostel we are staying in, part of the carnival tradition is to dress up together and help each other with the costume, but if you have a problem with that, please let me know! I already have a nice hostel in mind, near to the subway and some carnival street blocks.

Saturday (10/02) - During the day, after the check in, we can visit the famous Avenida Paulista, there we can take some pictures and visit places such as the SESC viewpoint. At night (7 p.m) we are going to watch a samba school parade at the Sambódromo do Anhembi. Samba schools are going to make a beautiful parade with themed floats and lots of costumes and sparkle. We are going to watch through the grandstand.

Since we are going to the samba school parade the previous night, for the second day (11/02) I'm thinking of going to the carnival street blocks at 01 p.m. so that way we can sleep well and dress up for the party. We can enjoy the carnival blocks until 7/8p.m. The schedule for the carnival blocks will be shared in January, we can choose together which blocks we want to go to. We can eat while we are out or order something through a delivery food. Don't forget to pack your sunscreen because I'm sure it will be very sunny. Also, for the costume, you should rather something light and fresh.

On Monday (12/02) we can go out at 09 a.m so we can enjoy the entire day of carnival street blocks, we will choose another blocks to go to, that way we can know the city while partying. We can buy our drinks at the supermarket (it's less expensive), we are going to be out until 7/8p.m. and start all over again on Tuesday (13/02). For our transportation we will use the subway and/or Uber.

On Wednesday (14/02) we will organize everything for our departure and visit Casas das Rosas, it's close to the hostel where we are staying. There we can see some cultural exhibitions and have lunch at the on-site restaurant. I hope you enjoyed this script!
