From the floodplains of the Okavango Delta to the spectacular Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, and ending with a sneak peek of the Chobe National Park en route to the Mighty Victoria Falls! This package is designed to give you the best African Bush Experience!

I am widely known as Suki. I was fortunate to grow up in and around National Parks in South Africa and from there my love for nature, and animals, gaining as much knowledge as possible about our continent and meeting people from all avenues. I absolutely love driving endless hours exploring and for this reason, I joined Overlanding and have been traveling extensively throughout Southern and East Africa. I would like to share my knowledge and experience with like-minded people that enjoy traveling!

Maun

Tag 1-2

Dumela! Welcome to Maun Botswana Today, you will be picked up from Maun International Airport and transferred to Sitatunga Camp, where we will spend our first and third nights. Once we arrive at Sitatunga, we'll have our tour briefing, followed by some downtime to relax and prepare for the next day's overnight excursion in the Okavango Delta, followed by a complimentary welcome dinner.

Okavango Delta

Tag 2-3

This morning will start with a 4x4 drive of approximately 2 hours after which we'll enjoy the splendor and bush sounds while being maneuvered through the lush and peaceful waterways of the Okavango Delta on dug-out canoes and end up at a remote island where we'll spend the night listening to old tales and song from the locals and the unforgettable night sound of the African bush. During our stay, you will also have the opportunity to swim in the infamous Okavango under the watchful eye of our Polars, try you skill at maneuvering a mokoro through the narrow waterways and go for a sunset nature walk.

Maun

Tag 3-4

We start the morning off a refreshing nature walk followed by a hearty breakfast before get back on the mokoro's and head back to Sitatunga where a well deserved hot shower and ice cold drink awaits. After lunch we drive back into town where you'll have the opportunity to visit the markets for some souvenirs and or enjoy a breathtaking flight over the the Okavango Delta before heading back to enjoy dinner and a camp fire.

Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

Tag 4-5

A one-of-a-kind natural wonder where the focus is not only on the pans, but the stunning landscapes and wildlife in the area. It's a paradise for star-gazers with no pollution for thousands of kilometers around. A scenic drive will lead you towards the set-up camp for the night. The ‘moonscape’ with its white, dry salt crust makes for a surreal and magical location. Enjoy the most beautiful indescribable sunset and sunrise with a 360° view!

Elephant Sands Lodge

Tag 5-6

What an absolutely amazing experience to be up close and personal with these gentle giants! Yes, we'll be staying right in the center of the Elephant Highway where the Ellies stop over for a drink while congregating just meters away from you! This unfenced 16,000-hectare private conservancy hosts a variety of wildlife, with both the campsite and lodge unfenced, allowing animals to roam freely.

Chobe National Park

Tag 6-7

Today we travel along what's know as "The Elephant Highway" enroute to Chobe National Park. We will do a quick shop stop in Kasane before heading to Thebe River Safaris where we'll stay for the night. Don't be surprised to see some wildlife roaming the streets and or taking a nap in front of the bank. Once we arrive you have the option to join a open vehicle game drive into Chobe National Park and upon return you'll be dropped at the boat jetty where a cooler with refreshments will be waiting on the boat that will take us out for a sunset cruise, exploring and taking in the most breathtaking sunset while spotting wild animals and an abundance of birdlife.

Victoria Falls

Tag 7-8

Today we have a border crossing which could be very challenging at times. Remember in Africa we say Hakuna Matata (No Worries) with only a 100 km drive we will get into Victoria Falls nice and early. A quick stop at the adventure center for a presentation on all the activities in and round Vic Falls then to our accommodation at Shearwater Explorers Village. Once we freshened up and settled, we'll head out for a guided tour of the Mighty Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls) as well explore the local markets We'll then end the evening off with some delicious local cuisine, song and dance.

This morning after breakfast and an amazing experience through Botswana, our tour unfortunately comes to an end. Enjoy the rest of your stay and activities that are on offer. Until we meet again under the African sky, Safari Njema! (Safe Journey)
