What is King's Day? The Netherlands (specially Amsterdam) was already a fantastic place before they decided to celebrate a national holiday on the king's birthday, King's Day. Now the rest of the world can simply join with thousands upon thousands of people flooding the streets on April 27th for one of the most enjoyable crazy parties of the year. No other birthday on earth even comes close to the sheer madness found in the streets of Amsterdam. The city transforms into a massive open-air festival for over 1 million visitors, all dressed in orange and fully prepared for the most beautiful day of the year! Not all locals like the buzz but I love it! King's Day is a national holiday celebrated in the Netherlands on the king's birthday, April 27th, the streets turn into vibrant orange-filled festivities, drawing in millions of visitors from around the globe to join in the fun. It's a time when Dutch people change into orange, and the atmosphere is fantastic with music, dancing, and a lot of games.

Accommodation? There is a hostel houseboat privately reserved for us, 30 minutes from Amsterdam. The boat has three shared bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom with toilet and a large outside garden. There are single and double beds available, everyone can have their own bed. We will not spend much time at the accommodation and use it mainly to have a rest after the kingsday. DAY ONE: We gather together in Amsterdam, and rock the Kingsnight, check out as much kingsnight parties as possible… the whole city is packed with drums, music, dance, street art and fun.... in the early morning, we drive to the houseboat for a quick rest… The rest will be short because we need to be back in amsterdam for Kingsday before 9.00 AM....

9.00 AM ... Amsterdam.... Why so early? It is a tradition for locals to sell their old clothes and old stuff on the streets… So, that is what we will do in the morning… We put a magic carpet on the street and start selling vintage treasures. I can provide a lot of old vintage treasures but if you want to bring anything for the Kingsday fleamarket yourself, bring it on....! I will show and teach you the art of fleamarket trading… Once we sold all our treasures, we set sail on a private boat on the canals… and dive into the Kingsday madness on the canals… It will be a private boat for max 6 persons included food & drinks... so we will rock the canals and try to stay afloat... At the end of the day around midnight we probably head back to our private hostel houseboat and have some time to chill .... afterparty stuff... does this sound like a fun trip to you? drop me a message for a proper introduction...

Day three: Good morning! You have survived Kingsday! Transportation back to Amsterdam is included and everyone can go their own ways...…or....depending on group size, vibes and the weather we could decided to take another boat trip....or..... See you on the next trip!
