Marangu Route: The Marangu Route, often referred to as the “Coca-Cola” route due to its popularity and the availability of amenities, is one of the most frequented paths to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Known for its comfortable hut accommodations, this route spans approximately 72 kilometers (45 miles). Its gradual ascent allows for better acclimatization, making it suitable for climbers who may be new to high-altitude trekking. The best time to climb the Marangu Route is during the drier months of January to March and June to October when the weather is more stable, enhancing the overall trekking experience.
