Stone Town
Day 1-4
Stone Town, a city worth getting lost in with its winding streets. With its enormous fish markets, palaces dating back to the Sultanate of Oman, wood carvings, and beautiful people whose eyes always sparkle, Stone Town is one of the places that must be seen in the world. The heart of Zanzibar beats in Stone Town, whether it's in shopping or trade. I recommend not leaving without sipping African coffee with the merchants at Jaw's Corner, tasting the tropical fruits of the street vendors that appear on every corner at night, and trying seafood and mishkaki (Zanzibari skewers) at the Forodhani Night Market!
2
Kizimkazi Mkunguni
Day 4
We will visit Kizimkazi Village to witness the activities of NGOs. On the way to Kizimkazi, we will have time to visit Jozani Forest, where you can see endemic Zanzibar Red Colombus monkeys in their natural environment, and also trees called Mangroves which provide essential habitats for thousands of species, and play a key role in human sustainability. In Zanzibar, Tanzania, the local communities rely on mangroves to stabilize the shorelines, protect the land and people from natural disasters, and provide habitats for marine life.
3
Paje
Day 4-8
We will spend the rest of our night on the East Coast of Zanzibar while we move a little around. Our base will be the vibrant Paje where you can watch or try kite surfing. Here, we are going to enjoy beaches, see the beauty of the Indian Ocean with snorkeling, and enjoy private cave swimming, sun, and the beach.
