Hello Travelers, In this trip, you will get to know Mérida as a local and discover places you would never imagine. We will go to Izamal, Valladolid, see the lights and sound show at Chichen Itza and visit Progreso as well. I hope you are as excited as I am to get to know you and travel together!!! About me! I am Dominique and will be very happy to show you some places of Yucatan where I live since 2010. I will make sure you have the perfect trip for you to create beautiful memories and have some fun. I am very excited.

Details about the accommodation: We will be staying in small and nice hotels. If, for some reason, there is no more availability, be reassured it will be another one similar to the one selected at first. The hotel will be for 2 people in the same room, so you can share it with another TripMate. This part can be fun as well as you can know better that TripMate. Mérida

Day 1-3

We will start our trip here by meeting us at the Hotel. Depending on everybody´s arrival, we could go and have dinner. The next morning we will visit the Plaza Mayor, the market and also the twin houses in Paseo Montejo, the most beautiful street of the city. We will also go to Progreso to take some pictures of the beach. We will be staying at the Hotel El Español.

Izamal

Day 3

We will be visiting the yellow city and will have lunch at a tipical Yucatán Restaurant. After lunch we will be heading to Chichen Itza to see the show of lights and sound and will spend the night there at the Hotel Chichen Itza.

Chichén-Itzá

Day 3-4

On the 21st of October, we will visit the site in the morning before the crowd and the heat arrives. You will also discover the beautiful sacred cenote in Chichen Itza.Visit the Piramide de Kukulcan, el juego de pelota and every other temple.

Valladolid

Day 4-5

Visit of the city starting with the Catedral of San Servacio and the Convento de San Bernardino de Siena where you will see the colonial arquitecture. We will go for a walk on the Callejon de los Frailes where there are lots of shops and restaurants.

Mérida

Day 5

Back to Mérida and end of our trip. You can spend the day as you like or go to the airport to take your flight back home. Or even stay a few more days and go to Cancún. Or probably visit some places or museums we didn´t go to.
