Corfu Old Town, also known as Kerkyra, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a charming place to explore. It's filled with historical landmarks, narrow cobbled streets, Venetian-style architecture, and a vibrant atmosphere. Here are some of the things you can do and visit in Corfu Old Town: Liston: Start your visit at Liston, a beautiful promenade inspired by the Rue de Rivoli in Paris. It features elegant arches, cafes, and shops, making it a perfect spot to relax and people-watch. Spianada Square: Adjacent to Liston, Spianada is one of the largest squares in Europe. It's a lovely place to stroll, play games, and enjoy the open space. Old Fortress (Palaio Frourio): This impressive fortress is situated at the eastern end of Corfu Old Town. It offers stunning views of the town and the sea. You can explore its defensive walls, tunnels, and a small museum inside. New Fortress (Neo Frourio): Located on a hill overlooking the town, the New Fortress provides another great vantage point. The fortress itself is well-preserved and offers interesting history and architecture. Saint Spyridon Church: This is one of the most famous churches in Corfu, dedicated to the island's patron saint. The church houses his remains and is a significant religious site. Palace of St. Michael and St. George: This 19th-century neoclassical palace serves as the Museum of Asian Art. It exhibits a fascinating collection of Asian art and artifacts.
