Trip Itinerary

Glasgow City Centre
Day 1-2
Arrive In Glasgow (Scotlands Largest city) in the afternoon meeting at the hotel (in the city center) and checking in, before going out for dinner to meet the rest of the group before starting the West highland way (the next morning).

Milngavie
Day 2
Take the Train from Glasgow to Milngavie to start the West Highland Way. Milngavie is a town in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland, and a suburb of Glasgow. It is on the Allander Water, at the northwestern edge of Greater Glasgow, and about 10 kilometers from Glasgow city center. The start of the trail is less than a 5-minute walk from the Milngavie train station.

Drymen
Day 2-3
Walk from Milngavie to Drymen the first day of the West Highland Way. Drymen is a village in the Stirling district of central Scotland. Once a popular stopping place for cattle drovers, it is now popular with visiting tourists given its location near Loch Lomond. Walk 12 miles along the west highland way to Drymen where we stay in the Winnock hotel (a 3-star hotel). (3 twin rooms and 3 triple rooms). Total walking distance, about 12 miles (19.3KM)

Inversnaid
Day 3-4
Day 2 of the West Highalnd Way Drymen - Inversnaid Spend the day walking along the Eastern Banks of Loch Lomond. Inversnaid is a small rural community on the east bank of Loch Lomond in Scotland, near the north end of the loch. It has a pier and a hotel, and the West Highland Way passes through the area. A small passenger ferry runs from Inversnaid to Inveruglas on the opposite shore of the loch, and also to Tarbet. Total walking distance 18.5 miles (29.7KM), staying at Inversnaid bunk house. Inversnaid bunk house is a bunkhouse/hostel style accommodation (1 twin room, one 5 person room, and 3 triple rooms)

Tyndrum
Day 4-5
Day 4 Of walking the West Highland Way Inversnaid to Tyndrum. Tyndrum is a small village in Scotland. Its Gaelic name translates as "the house on the ridge". It lies in Strathfillan, at the southern edge of Rannoch Moor. Total walking distance 18.1 miles (29.1 KM) Staying at the Tyndrum lodges. I would consider the Tyndrum lodge to be between a bunkhouse and a hotel in style. (1 triple room and 6 twin rooms).

Kingshouse Hotel
Day 5-6
Day 5 of the West Highland Way, walking from Tyndrum to the Kings House Hotel. The Kings House Hotel is an inn at the eastern end of Glen Coe, at its junction with Glen Etive in the Scottish Highlands. The inn, in an isolated position about 2 km east of the head of the glen towards Rannoch Moor, facing Buachaille Etive Mor, is a popular hostelry with rock climbers. It is called the King's House because it was used by the British Army during the subjugation of the Highlands following the Jacobite Rising of 1745. There is a good chance of seeing some friendly deer here ! Total walking distance 18.8 miles (30.2 Km) The Kings House hotel is a 3 / 4-star hotel and all the rooms are twin rooms.

Kinlochleven
Day 6-7
Start the day by Walking into Glencoe to get a spectacular view of the three sisters of Glencoe before heading back to the track and making our way to Kinlochleven. Kinlochleven is a village located in Lochaber, in the Scottish Highlands, and lies at the eastern end of Loch Leven. To the north lie the Mamores ridge; to the south lie the mountains flanking Glen Coe. Total walking distance 17 Miles (27.4 KM including Glencoe) Staying at the blackwater hostel. This is Hostel accommodation, and we would stay in 4 bedrooms.

Fort William
Day 7-8
The Final Day of walking the West Highland way takes us from Kinlochleven to the end point in Fort William. Fort William is a town in the western Scottish Highlands, on the shores of Loch Linnhe. It’s known as a gateway to Ben Nevis, the U.K.’s highest peak, and Glen Nevis valley, home to Steall Falls. Total walking distance 12.9 miles (20.7 KM) Stay in the Alexandra hotel (which is a 3-star hotel, very close to the train station) and there will be 6 twin rooms and one triple room.

Glasgow
Day 8-9
Ride the Train from Fort William to Glasgow, where we will once again stay in the city center. Tonight we will go out for dinner and have some goodbye drinks, in the morning we will check out of the hotel after having completed the West Highland Way and go our separate ways.
