Hello beautiful people ๐ Join me on an adventure-filled 10-day joy trip through Burundi, one of the smallest and most welcoming countries in the world. Bujumbura, the capital city, has it all. From white beaches to overwhelmingly beautiful sundowners and restaurants with African cuisine, this small country will make you fall in love with Africa. I'm looking for 4 โ 7 outgoing and adventurous people (prefer males on this trip) who want to experience the authentic and natural beauty of Burundi and live for telling a good story at the end of it all. The trip begins on July 20 and ends on July 30. We'll be exploring a variety of places: leisure, cultural and tourist spots, beaches, nature, and more๐. If you enjoy karaoke and relaxing in the fresh air, you'll love this trip. WEATHER & CLIMATE: Bujumbura can get a bit hot ๐ during the day, but it generally has warm weather because it features a tropical savanna climate bordering on a hot semi-arid climate. Other cities have warm weather during the day and a bit of cold weather during the night. โ ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR BURUNDI (COVID-19 and Visa): For European and American Passport holders you get a Visa on arrival for 3 months which you can normally extend by another 3 months without any problems. You do have to show a return flight on your arrival in Burundi. COVID-19 is currently not having any impact on tourism in Burundi. All flights are operating as normal. Everything is currently open including all types of accommodations, restaurants, bars, national parks, etc. Currently, PCR tests, vaccines, and face masks are not required to enter Burundi.
By the way, my name is Richard and I'll be your host, driver, travel partner and, I hope, a good friend during and after the trip. I was born and raised in Burundi, but currently live in Kenya. I have traveled and vacationed in more East African countries than I can remember (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania). I love spending time with friends and sharing good food, wine, and music.
Sharing my lovely country and making meaningful connections while exploring this preserved land is the main motivation behind planning this trip. It's on the road that I feel most alive, meeting worthwhile people, having lively conversations around a campfire or a sunset, and feeling the exhilaration of adventure. Our accommodation will be a charming guest house, a really attractive private apartment. If you like all that, don't hesitate to contact me, we'll get to know each other on a video call, and I'll gladly take any questions you may have.
