Hello beautiful people š Join me on an adventure-filled 3 weeks joy trip through the Great Lacs Region (Burundi and Rwanda), one of the smallest and most welcoming countries in the world. Bujumbura and Kigali the capital cities, have it all. From white beaches to overwhelmingly beautiful sundowners and restaurants with African cuisine, these two small countries will make you fall in love with Africa. I'm looking for 5 ā 8 outgoing and adventurous people who want to experience the authentic and natural beauty of Burundi and Rwanda and live to tell a good story at the end of it all. IMPORTANCE CONSIDERATIONS: - Respect local cultures, traditions, and customs throughout our journey. - Be open to unique experiences and interactions with locals. - Pack appropriate clothing for varying climates and cultural norms. - Research visa requirements and health recommendations for each country. - Embrace the spirit of adventure and be flexible with our itinerary. Our 11-day trip across The Great Lacs Region promises to be an unforgettable journey filled with authentic experiences, lesser-known gems, and a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures and histories of the region. Enjoy every moment of your off-the-beaten-path exploration! About me! ā ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR BURUNDI AND RWANDA (COVID-19 and Visa): For European and American Passport holders you get a Visa on arrival for 3 months which you can normally extend by another 3 months without any problems. You do have to show a return flight on your arrival in both Burundi and Rwanda. COVID-19 is currently not having any impact on tourism in Burundi. All flights are operating as normal. Everything is currently open including all types of accommodations, restaurants, bars, national parks, etc. Currently, PCR tests, vaccines, and face masks are not required to enter Burundi.
About me! By the way, my name is Richard, and I'll be your host, driver, travel partner and, I hope, a good friend during and after the trip. I was born and raised in Burundi, but currently live in Kenya. I have traveled and vacationed in more East African countries than I can remember (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania). I love spending time with friends and sharing good food, wine, and music.
Details about the accommodation: Sharing my lovely country and making meaningful connections while exploring this preserved land is the main motivation behind planning this trip. It's on the road that I feel most alive, meeting worthwhile people, having lively conversations around a campfire or a sunset, and feeling the exhilaration of adventure. Accommodation will be in a charming guest house, a really attractive private apartment. If you like all that, don't hesitate to contact me, we'll get to know each other on a video call, and I'll gladly take any questions you may have.
