Are you ready for a real adventure? Mount Ararat - the only mountain over 5000 meters high in Turkey. Climbing Mount Ararat in summer is not difficult. Although Mount Ararat is 5137 meters above sea level, it is not a difficult technical challenge for those who lead an active sports life, hiking often, running regularly, etc. No special technical training is required to climb Mount Ararat. Good physical condition and the desire to climb the mountain are quite enough. There are no cracks or steep turns on the way to the top. To successfully climb Mount Ararat, good acclimatization and the company of a qualified guide are quite enough. It is very helpful to have someone with you who was born and raised there. The complete Ararat ascent will be organized for you. A very experienced team is waiting for you! You will see a completely different culture and way of life. Who are we? We, Rohat, Azat and Firat Ceven, three Kurdish brothers from Eastern Anatolia, raised at the foot of Ararat, trained as certified mountain guides, with many years of experience of mountain tours in Turkey and surrounding countries, founded our own trekking agency in 2011. Together we will climb 5137 meters, it will be adventurous! On the first day, in the course of the morning, we will be driven to the starting point in an all-terrain minibus or on the back of a truck. After the small mud hut village of Eli, we will go up as far as possible on a dirt road towards the base camp. The respective condition of the road determines the end point of the trip. There the escort team and the Kurds are waiting with their pack animals. After that you will climb about 1000 meters of altitude on foot to the base camp. The second day will be used to promote acclimatization by climbing very slowly to the high camp. Via a clearly visible path, in four hours you will reach a place where the tents will be set up on a few tiny platforms. After a long rest, we return to the base camp. On the third day, a second ascent to the high camp is made and the night is spent. On the summit day, the start is still made during the night time between three and four o'clock. Over boulder scree a prominent ridge rib is reached, over which one climbs rather steeply and laboriously up to about 4900 meters to the beginning of the harmless, rather flat summit glissade. The summit destination is visible and reached after another hour and a half and a total time of five to six hours, depending on your ability. Mountaineers in good shape easily descend the nearly 2000 meters in altitude to the base camp. The fifth day is the descent to the slope and the return to Dogubayazit. ☝️ DIFFICULTY: Level 3: Moderate These are trekking trips with hikes in easy terrain with occasionally more demanding sections of the path. On the daily stages, a maximum of 1,200 meters in altitude is covered in up to 6 hours. A good physical condition is required. ℹ️ SHORT INFORMATION: Group size: 2-12 people Travel time: 7 days Overnight stay in tents: 4 nights Hotel accommodation: 2 nights To summarised what is included in the price 💰 🔎 State-certified mountain guide (according to Turkish law, this is necessary for the Ararat National Park) 🗣 German or English-speaking mountain guide ✔️ Approval on-site or from Ankara for the ascent of Ararat 🎟️ Entrance fee to the Ararat National Park 🚗 All transfers according to the program 🚗 Transport of the main luggage by horses on Mount Ararat to Camp 2 💡 Support team 🌄 Full board and picnic equipment on the mountain, a local cook 🛏️ Hotel accommodation in double rooms with half board (breakfast/dinner); Single room at extra charge ⛺ Two-man tents, sleeping mats (5cm); Single tents for an extra charge 📍 Excursions according to the program 🎟️ Entrance fees ❌ NOT INCLUDED IN THE SERVICES: - All flights on request - Meals not mentioned - Beverages - Individual excursions and visits outside the program - Personal expenses - tips - Single room / tent We are looking forward to meeting you!
