Kathmandu
Day 1-2
Upon setting foot in Kathmandu, an exuberant embrace awaits you from the amiable locals. Embrace their hospitality as you are graciously accompanied to your hotel, nestled in the heart of the bustling metropolis of Kathmandu. Take this moment to unwind and rejuvenate, allowing yourself to be engulfed in tranquility before embarking on the extraordinary expedition that lies ahead. Your esteemed trekking guide, imbued with expertise and profound knowledge, will be formally introduced, granting you an invaluable opportunity to delve deeper into the intricacies and wonders of the forthcoming trekking odyssey. With the starting point resting at an awe-inspiring altitude of 1,350m/4,429ft, you will find yourself on the precipice of an ethereal ascent, brimming with breathtaking vistas and enchanting landscapes.

Besi Shahar Bus Stop
Day 2-3
Our journey commences in Kathmandu, the bustling capital city of Nepal. We will embark on a road trip to reach Besi Shahar, a town located approximately five to six hours northwest of Kathmandu. This thrilling drive will allow you to experience the vibrant urban life of Nepal, the lush greenery of lowland jungle roads, and the winding mountain passes as we approach Besi Shahar. Upon arrival, we will check in at the hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure. You can explore the local cafes, restaurants, or simply enjoy the mesmerizing mountain views from the Marsyangdi River. Maximum Elevation: 760m/2,490ft

Chame
Day 3-4
Today, we will continue our adventure into the western Himalayas. We will board a four-wheel-drive Jeep for the journey to Chame. The drive takes approximately four to five hours, passing through charming villages inhabited by the Gurung and Magar ethnicities. Along the way, we will stop for a photo opportunity at a beautiful waterfall cascading down a cliff face. As we arrive in Chame, we will check in at a comfortable local lodge and have ample time to explore the town. Chame offers unobstructed views of Lamjung Himal, a stunning mountain rising to a height of 6,983 meters. Maximum Elevation: 2,710m/8,892ft

Pisang
Day 4-5
Today marks the first day of actual hiking on the Annapurna Circuit Trek. We'll start our trail just outside of Chame, passing through a landscape adorned with green forests and apple orchards. Crossing a suspension bridge, we'll embark on a steep ascent to reach the charming village of Dhukur Pokhari, where we'll stop for a packed lunch. Afterward, we'll continue our trek, enjoying splendid views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Pisang Peak along the way. As we arrive at Pisang, you'll notice that the town is divided into Upper and Lower Pisang, separated by the Marsyangdi River. Take the time to explore both parts of the town, immersing yourself in the stunning mountain views and vibrant local atmosphere. We'll arrange accommodations for the night at the best available trekking lodge or tea house. Maximum Elevation: 3,300m/10,827ft

Manang
Day 5-6
Our next day on the Annapurna Circuit Trek begins with a hike through a valley filled with fragrant pine trees. We'll make a stop at the village of Braga, renowned for its hilltop monastery dating back approximately 900 years. If accessible, take a peek inside the monastery to admire the beautiful statues and enjoy the panoramic views from its roof. Continuing our ascent through pine forests and crossing suspension bridges, we gradually ascend towards Manang. Here, we'll spend two nights for acclimatization purposes. After checking in at our teahouse, take the opportunity to visit one of the local bakeries while gazing at the majestic Annapurnas and Gangapurna mountains. Maximum Elevation: 3,519m/11,546ft

Manang
Day 6-7
Today is dedicated to acclimatization in Manang. It is important to allow our bodies to adjust to the high altitude before continuing the trek. Explore the town, visit scenic viewpoints, ancient monasteries, and a cultural museum. For those seeking further adventure, several day hikes are available, leading to glacial lakes nestled against the backdrop of towering Himalayan peaks such as Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak. In the evening, return to our lodge for a nourishing meal and a good night's rest. Tomorrow, our Annapurna Circuit Trek adventure continues.

Yak Kharka
Day 7-8
Today's hike involves a steady ascent. We'll climb past the village of Tengi, sharing the trail with locals transporting horses and yaks. Our journey takes us to the village of Gunsang, where we'll enjoy an early lunch while relishing the breathtaking views of Annapurna II and Annapurna IV. Continuing through stands of juniper and crossing more suspension bridges, we gradually ascend towards Yak Kharka. The grade becomes gentler at this point. We'll reach Yak Kharka with ample time in the afternoon to relax before spending the night at one of the town's comfortable guest houses. Maximum Elevation: 4,110m/13,485ft

Thorong Phedi Base Camp Lodge
Day 8-9
Our morning commences with a gradual climb across vast alpine pastures where horses roam freely and Himalayan griffons soar above. Soon, we'll approach a dramatic suspension bridge leading to the opposite side of the valley, though a smaller wooden bridge is available as an alternative. We'll navigate a rock-strewn slope with caution as we make our way to Thorong Phedi. Thorong Phedi offers a couple of lodges and a few bakeries. After settling into our accommodations, the rest of the evening is dedicated to rest and preparation for tomorrow's ascent over the Thorong La pass. Maximum Elevation: 4,600m/15,093ft

Shree Muktinath Temple
Day 9
Today is the most exhilarating day of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. We will make our way up and over Thorong La, a high-altitude mountain pass located at 5,416 meters. The views from the pass are breathtaking, with colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind against the backdrop of snow-covered peaks. Your guide will assess the pass's condition to ensure safety before crossing. The descent from Thorong La is equally dramatic, and we'll take our time to avoid any slips or falls. As we descend, we'll enter the spectacular Kali Gandaki Gorge, considered one of the world's deepest gorges. It carries water from the Tibetan Plateau to the Ganges River. Enjoy the magnificent scenery along the trail as we finally reach Muktinath, an important religious pilgrimage site with various temples and shrines. We'll spend the night in one of Muktinath's teahouses, allowing ourselves to recover from the long day of trekking. Maximum Elevation: 5,416m/17,770ft

Tatopani Hot Spring
Day 9
Today involves another day of extended hiking, although the terrain is less challenging than the previous day. We'll begin by descending through the Jhong Valley, known for its ancient form of Buddhism. Look out for historic stone cairns as we traverse the narrow streets and stone-built homes of Kagbeni, a picturesque town on the edge of Nepal's restricted Mustang region. After lunch, we'll continue through the valley, encountering strong winds in certain sections—keep a tight hold on your hat! Our hike concludes in Jomsom, where we'll take a local sharing jeep or bus to Tatopani, a journey that takes approximately five to six hours. This is a fantastic opportunity to observe rural Nepal's lush forest landscapes while engaging in conversations with locals. Upon arrival in Tatopani, we'll check in at our teahouse before indulging in the soothing hot springs located below the village. Spend as much time as you wish to relax your tired muscles before returning to town for a delicious meal and a well-deserved rest. Maximum Elevation: 1,200m/3,937ft

Pokhara Lakeside
Day 9-10
Enjoy a leisurely morning and wake up to the gentle sound of birdsong. Our hike on the Annapurna Circuit Trek is nearing its end, and today we'll make our return to Pokhara. The drive takes approximately five to six hours, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of Nepal's countryside. Admire rushing rivers, terraced fields, and captivating rural landscapes along the Prithvi Highway, named after the country's first king. Engage with locals and fellow travelers, sharing your own stories and experiences from the trek. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you'll have ample time to explore the city, known as the adventure and travel hub of the Annapurnas. Take in the enchanting views of Phewa Lake and the majestic peaks of Manaslu, Machapuchare, and the Annapurnas. You can choose to partake in thrilling activities such as paragliding or bungee jumping, or simply unwind with a massage and a drink. Whatever you decide, savor the sights and sounds of Pokhara before returning to our hotel in the city. Maximum Elevation: 827m/2,713ft

Thamel
Day 10-11
Fly to Kathmandu in the afternoon. The left side of the airplane offers some fantastic views of the Himalayas. Leave for your hotel and arrive in Kathmandu. Enjoy the day at leisure, catch up on some last-minute shopping, or explore any landmarks that we missed during our first day in Kathmandu. Celebrate the successful completion of our journey with a farewell dinner in the evening.
