Trip Itinerary

Nairobi
Day 1-3
On Arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative and be transferred to your hotel for check in and overnight. After breakfast at around 1000hrs, you will be met by our representative for safari briefing before departing for your excursions in Nairobi which includes, a city tour, visit of Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre with lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. You will return to the hotel later in the afternoon. Dinner will be at Carnivore Restaurant, which is adjacent to the hotel.

Giraffe Centre Nature Trail
Day 3
Giraffe Centre is a non-governmental, non-profit-making organization, which was founded by Betty and Jock Leslie-Melville in 1979. This was in a bid to save the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, which had lost its natural habitat in Western Kenya to agriculture and there were only 130 left in the wild.

Karen Blixen Museum
Day 3
The Karen Blixen Museum was once the home of the Danish author Karen Blixen. The renowned author made famous by the release of the Oscar winning movie ‘Out of Africa’, based on Karen’s autobiography of the same title. The museum displays many pieces of the author's furniture and has a splendid view of the Ngong Hills, immortalized in Karen Blixen's opening line, "I had a farm in Africa at the foot of the Ngong Hills." The museum shop features handicrafts, posters, postcards, the movie ‘Out of Africa’, as well as books and other Kenyan souvenirs.

The carnivore restaurant
Day 3
Carnivore is considered ‘Africa's Greatest Eating Experience'. A varity of meats including a selection of exotic meat is roasted over charcoal and carved at your table. Delicious side dishes and an exceptional array of sauces complements this fixed price feast that also includes soup, a selection of desserts and Kenyan coffee. Set in attractive tropical gardens, the service and the décor are outstanding.

Amboseli Sopa Lodge
Day 3-5
Located in the Loitokitok District of Kenya’s Rift Valley Province, close to the Kenyan border, Kimana is a beautiful, remote town boasting spectacular natural landscapes, an array of churches, and several enthralling wildlife parks. Nature and animal enthusiasts will delight in going on safaris at reserves such as the Kimana Sanctuary, where they can see mesmerising open plains, yellow fever trees, Mount Kilimanjaro in the south and the Chyulu Hills in the north. Visitors will have the chance to spot elephants, zebra, gazelle, eland, warthogs, vervet monkeys and kingfishers.

Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort
Day 5-6
Located in the beautiful Kenya Rift Valley basin, Naivasha is a compact market town northwest of Nairobi, best known as a stopping point for spellbinding Lake Naivasha. Aspiring wildlife photographers and nature lovers will marvel at Lake Naivasha and its abundance of wondrous wildlife. Here visitors can spot wallowing hippo pods, clouds of vibrant birdlife, zebra and various other game. The nearby Lake Oloiden and Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary are great spots for those passionate about wild wonders. Shopping in the bustling town ensures unique souvenirs for mementoes as well as restaurants offering delicious local dishes with every taste in mind. Accommodations ranging from lodges to bed and breakfasts provide great conveniences for travellers looking to explore the area.

Mara Sopa Lodge
Day 6-9
The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Day 9-14
Kiwengwa: Situated on the spectacular northeastern coast of Tanzania’s Unguja island, between the quaint coastal villages of Pwani Mchangani and Pongwe, Kiwengwa is best known for its scenic beach of glittering white sands, lapped by azure crystalline waters. Visitors can explore the local village, and enjoy a host of water-based activities including snorkelling, diving, kitesurfing, and boating. Sample the local flavours of Zanzibar’s unique cuisine, sip on a delicious cocktail at a beachfront bar, and discover the fascinating underwater wonderland that lies offshore. Visitors should be able to spot turtles, starfish, octopuses and seahorses quite easily. Animal lovers will also delight in the chance to visit the nearby Cheetah Rock Conservation Centre, which protects lions, zebras, and many other rescued animals.
