Sidi Kaouki
Day 1-7
Sidi Kaouki is a very quiet town near Essaouira well known for it’s long stretch of endless sandy beach, surfing and horse riding tours. With a laid-back atmosphere and rich natural landscape is a perfect place to stay. We'll remain for 6 nights in a Riad, with time to relax by the pool, experience a Berber massage, find our own little spot where to surf, walk for miles along stunnings beaches or gallop along them on a camel and maybe get the chance to spot wild flamingoes in the local river.

Essaouira
Day 7
To go from Sidi Kaouki to south of Essaouira is 30 minutes drive. There is a flat fee of 15DH per person, or 90DH for the whole taxi. It is also possible to get the local bus over to Sidi Kaouki. Bus number 2 runs from Bab Doukkala to Sidi Kaouki every 2 hours and tickets cost 7DH per person (purchase tickets on the bus). The bus will take longer than a taxi (approximately 1 hour) When arrived we'll begin our morning walk in the medina, a gorgeous late-18th-century walled old town. With its blend of European and Moroccan architectural influences, Essaouira’s UNESCO-listed medina is flanked by beautiful blue and white buildings. Aimlessly wander through its narrow streets and charming alleyways filled with clothing shops, fruit carts, street food stalls, and merchants selling pottery, argan oil, leather shoes, wooden products, and rugs. Then we'll walked to the seafood market which is a fascinating place to wonder with all the fish laid out for sale, and fisherman bringing in their catch and preparing their nets. It’s busy, smelly, and dirty, but an absolute treat to be able to witness. A visit to Essaouira port is not complete without a freshly prepared seafood meal at a local grill – We'll buy fish direct from the fisherman at the market and have it cooked at one of the open restaurants there. In the afternoon we'll make a stop in the Kasbah Gallery, a fabulous art gallery with a diverse array of artworks. The building itself looks spectacular. The gallery is spread across 5 floors where you'll have the opportunity to see a very eclectic collection ranging from African masks and beautiful old furniture to paintings, sculptures, and ceramics. After a long walk to in the vibrant city of Essaouira, we'll get some rest in a traditional Hammam before going back to the hotel. There is option or a private or public hammam. A private one is more expensive, and means that you get a hammam all to yourself. A public hammam is a local hammam to share with other people, and is much cheaper and a more authentic experience. We'll decide which one depending on your preferences.

To get there from Sidi kaouki is 10 min drive. We'll book a transfert at the riad or we can directly rent a car while we are in essaouira. We'll decide depending on your preferences.
