Hello travel buddies! 🤩 My name is Maria and I am looking for adventurers who love the wild, cold, rough, and untouched nature! Let's explore Iceland and Faroe Island on a cool combination summer trip together 🌠! WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT I have been to Iceland five times now - but I honestly just stopped counting by now ;-). Thrice on my own, on a JMT trip in September 2023 and November 2024! We will unveil some of the coolest places of South Iceland and explore seven of the major islands of the Faeroes. It has always been a dream of mine to explore the Faeroe Islands at some point as well. Our road trip takes us to places Instagram-able and loved by all photographers and photo amateurs alike, we go on incredible hikes and enjoy many beautiful panoramic vistas and indulge into a yummy skyr cake in a cozy cafe. Along the way, there are unique sights, lagoons and tours planned, such as hiking a UNESCO site between two tectonic plates, sightseeing in real water caves and visiting the famous black beaches of Iceland. We will cover all the stops as seen on the map below and might go some extra mile for more. I try to arrange a bigger van for our group with enough space for people and luggage. But if we have to drive two cars, it would be great if someone else would agree on driving the second car :-).

👋👩🏻‍🦰 WHAT MAKES THIS TRIP SO SPECIAL AND WHY JOIN ME Iceland is one of my most favourite countries to travel so far: The crystal ice, the rough stone formations of the highlands, the whistling winds in the mountains, and the beauty of the greenish-golden grass😍. Iceland changes with every day and every season. And I always had the dream to travel to the Faroe Islands as well. But what makes joining me so special? And why come along? Because I have many years of experience as a professional travel specialist for China and travelled to more than 41 countries on holidays so far. I love to meticulously plan my trips and make sure that we make the most of our limited time while on a trip. My previous trip mates` reviews speak for themselves. I can guarantee you that you will not regret. Simply join and enjoy 🥰! Besides, I have taken care of all the planning and organization, so that you have a good and relaxed time while exploring this beautiful nordic islands together!

🏛️OCCUPANCY On the Faroe Islands we spend the nights in either guesthouses or hotels, I prefer arranging twin-bed rooms (shared by trip mates from our group). But if we are a bigger group, a private Airbnb might be an option as well. We sleep one night in a twin-bed cabin on the ship while passing over from Faroe Islands to Iceland over the Atlantic trait. On Iceland, we might stay in shared accommodation like a guesthouse, cabin or hostel in shared rooms (twin bed rooms or 3- to maximal 4-bed rooms). Some accommodations will have breakfast included, but I an only give more information on which once closer to the trip. I always try to make everyone feel comfortable, which is my highest priority. So I will do my best to have the accommodation set as early as possible and if you sign up early, it will help me a lot in calculating what is within our financial means :) Please let me know if you would like to request a single room and I will see what can be arranged. ✔️Physical rating of the trip: 4/5 (many hikes planned, but you are free to explore on your own, if you need some time off or take a shorter route and breaks) ✔️Group size: 4 - 9 with myself ✔️Non-smokers only If you want to ask anything, feel free to message me in the Q&A below. Because spots are limited (especially in the rental car), it's quick and easy to reserve your spot: Click the green button on the right 🟩 and join me on this new holiday adventure! 😍

We sail along huge basalt cliffs and enter several smaller caves along the way before we drive back to Streymoy Island by speed boat. After a lunch break, we take a scenic drive to Kirkjubøur, the oldest village in the Faroes, and see the historic Roykstovan farmhouse (additional fees may apply). From there and if we have time left, we can take a drive to the stunning Lake Fjarðavatn for breathtaking views, then unwind at one of the island's scenic beaches before returning the car at Tórshavn and embarking on our next adventure to Iceland. INCLUDED ✅ Cave Boat Tour to Hestur Island ✅ Visit village Kirkjubøur (oldest village of Faroes)

After boarding the ship in Tórshavn, we will be enjoying panoramic views of the rugged coast as we set sail. As we set off, the the first views of lush green fields and distant glaciers will appear. Keep your camera ready, the landscapes here change dramatically with every turn. Upon reaching Jökulsárlón, we have time to marvel at the massive icebergs drifting in the lagoon and the Diamond Beach (it will become clear why the beach is called "diamond" once you see it). After enjoying Diamond Beach, we head towards Vatnajökull Glacier, the biggest of its kind on Iceland. Shortly after, we stop for some food and rest and then go on a short walk to the waterfall Svartifoss, famous for its unique basalt columns. The trail is about 1.5 km one way, offering beautiful views of the surrounding scenery. We will discuss some options in the group closer to the trip :). In the late afternoon we finally drive to our last overnight stop close to the airport of Keflavík. Since we will pass by the stunning and well-known Blue Lagoon, there will be a chance for our group to enjoy some extra hours of relaxation before we check-in. There is also an old lava tunnel nearby, where daily guided tours are being offered on a daily basis. So this might be another group activity to chose from. We will decide as a group.
