Sailing the open seas!

I’m putting together a sailing trip from the Canary Islands to Cabo Verde. It’s a 10-12 day +1000 mile ocean adventure. Little experience is required but you must be fit and adventure seeking. I am hoping to bring along people interested in learning how to sail, I can teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of sailing. I am also willing to let the trip flow naturally, maybe you would like to experience the quote of the sea, or falling into a Rythme with no distractions. Fundamentally this trips is for you to decide, I will be you guide, captain, and crew. I can cook for you, or you can take a whack at cooking in the rocking, and rolling kitchen. Depending on the participants there can either be lots of fishing, or no fishing at all. I respect all perspectives and viewpoints and would much rather everyone comfortable than eat fresh fish. About Me Hi, I'm timothy, I have been a long term solo traveler for the past 9 years, I tend to travel slow, open businesses, and adventure in foreign lands. I am originally from New York but also speak Portuguese and Spanish. My 10m stew sloop is well equipped with all modern safety equipment. I deeply enjoy teaching and sharing my word with others. I currently run a blog, YouTube channel, and am basically a slave to my little steel boat.

You will have a berth to sleep in, kitchen, and semi private toilet. Showers are taken on deck 😋😉 It is a small boat and the space is shared with everyone on board. Expectations are to keep everything orderly and tidy while we are underway. The kitchen can be used by anyone at anytime, we will likely prepare 2-3 meals per day as a group, or I will cook for everyone myself. Any questions about the trip? Tenerife

Day 1-2

This is likely where we will depart from for our journey south to Cabo verde. We will spend a day getting acquainted with the boat and it’s safety features as well as expectations while on board. Don’t forget sunscreen!

Canary Islands

Day 2-6

We will be practicing varying forms of sailing technique and rescue procedures, cooking good food, catching fresh fish, and exploring the endless horizon around us! The sunsets and rises will help open and close our blessed days at sea.

This is where we will arrive. We will spend the final day checking into Cabo verde, going through the debrief for the trip, and talking about where to next.
