Seja bem-vindo no Brasil! 🇧🇷 A very underrated country with unique nature, the most beautiful beaches worldwide, and very kind people. And a special welcome to Rio de Janeiro - The most beautiful city in the world, at least, how the locals like to call it. 😉 My name is Kryss and I am living and studying in Brazil for some months already and stayed in Rio for some weeks, so I make sure, that you will have the best time here! 🥰 Since we all probably have to work a lot, we will be active and have fun in our free time. So, if you are a couch potato, that trip won't be the best choice for you. ;) We will do a lot of hiking, (learning how to) surf, play beach volleyball, and more. We will also have cultural tours there and will visit Cristo Redentor, The Sugarloaf Mountain, the famous Rocinha favela, the party neighborhood Lapa, Pedro do Telégrafo, and more... You will drink a lot of Caipirinhas, learn how to dance to Brasilian funk, get a lot of sunburns on the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, and simply enjoy the summer in December! 🥳☀️ Moreover, I highly recommend seeing Rio from the bird's-eye view, so why don't we jump from a plane? Sounds crazy, right? It is! 😜 But it is also a once-in-a-lifetime experience you do not allow to miss. For more details about the trips, just scroll down or do not hesitate to ask questions! We will stay in a huge apartment/villa somewhere at the beach and personally, I would not mind sharing a room with somebody. :) The costs you pay in the end include the accommodation, renting a car for smaller trips, a small fee to me since I put a lot of work into the organization, and the good vibes you will get here! 🙂 Food, fuel for a car, and other expenses we will divide fairly on Splitwise. ✌️ To avoid discussions about different food preferences, you can either buy your own food or we go grocery shopping altogether and split everything. Cristo Redentor

Day 1-2

One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the symbol of Rio de Janeiro - Christ the Redeemer. Even though we will spend 3-4 hours hiking to the top, I can ensure you that the view will definitely be worth it! Still, the road itself is enjoyable as well since we will walk in the forest and see waterfalls, regional animals, and climb on the rocks.

Day 2-3

Another recognizable monument of Rio - the Sugarloaf Mountain / Pão de Açúcar. It has the name from its similarity to the form of traditional refined loaf sugar and yes! We will also walk the 396m by ourselves, so take a good pair of shoes with you!

Morro de Guaratiba

Day 3-4

Another day, another hill.... Pedra do Telegrafo - Your Instagram followers will love the picture you will get at the top. For that hike, we will need to book a car but it will only take about 2h and we will have awesome beaches here as well. :)

Copacabana

Day 4-11

Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Leme, there are unlimited beach options in Rio! We will probably spend a lot of time here surfing, playing beach volleyball or beach football, drinking Caipirinhas, enjoying the sun, and swimming. Do not forget your sunscreen! ;)

Rocinha

Day 11-12

Brazil is not Brazil without its favelas. To break the bias about them, we will visit the famous one - the Rocinha. An expert will guide us through the streets, show us the art painted by local artists and explain the local history and culture. He will prove to us, that the favelas are places with strong community bonds and huge affection and respect.

Lapa

Day 12-13

The famous party neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. We will dance to Brazilian funk mid on the streets, sip Caipirinhas, visit bars and clubs... Rio has awesome nightlife, so the weekends will be busy as well. ;)

Urca

Day 13-14

On one day we will enjoy Rio from the ocean´s point of view. We will sail to the beaches of Niterói, Guanabara Bay, Adam and Eve beach, Museum of Contemporary Art, Flamengo Park, Botafogo Cove, and more. The best part: We will sail directly into the sunset and relax on the boat with drinks and food.

Rio de Janeiro

Day 14-15

An absolute highlight of the trip: Our skydiving! We will receive a 15 min long training from the professional, and then jump! As a memory, we will get 200 photos from the selfie perspective and also from the 3rd point of view, and a video. You probably won't forget this trip for a long time. ;)
