Trip Itinerary

Hanoi
Day 1-4
Vietnam’s capital city is rich in history, with the streets of its rambling Old Quarter dating back to the 14th century. The tree-lined lanes filled with crumbling colonial facades will take you back in time. This ancient city has a great and lively character, with modern cafes, world-class restaurants, a buzzing street life, and cool art galleries. When the sun goes down, you have your pick of markets, from sophisticated rooftop bars to buzzing bia hơi "beer streets". Day 1 - Arrival day Day 2 - After the first night in our hostel and a small morning meditation, we will take the morning of the first full day to enjoy a typical Vietnamese breakfast with proper introductions, bonding over jetlag, travel stories and discussing our programme for the coming 2 weeks. During the day we will explore the neighbouring district Hoan Kiem, also known as the Older Quarters, to taste egg-coffee in the Old, explore the narrow streets, local markets & shops, and the urban jungle architecture. If the train tracks are open, we will pass by the rail cafe to get a fresh juice. After dinner at a local Vietnamese restaurant, we will watch the traditional Water puppet show, before exploring the night market, beer streets & the weekend festivities happening around the lake. Day 3 - Starting the day with yoga and meditation. After breakfast we will visit the famous Long Bien bridge. It was the first steel bridge in Hanoi and one of the first bridges erected in Vietnam by French colonists. It crosses the Red River and connects two districts of Hanoi, namely Hoan Kiem and Long Bien. We will stop on the bridge to walk down onto the "Banana Island", where we can walk around Banana trees and get some beautiful views on the city and the red river. At the end of the day we will enjoy a local Vietnamese buffet to get nourished for our adventure. After dinner we will have time to enjoy a drink on the lake, and we will take a moment for a small exercise, bringing some awareness to our experience thus far, and setting an intention for the upcoming trip. Day 4 - Departure to Phu Luong

Day 4-6
Day 4 - After arriving in Phu Luong around noon time, we will settle in our homestay before visiting the Hieu Village & Waterfall. We will have dinner at the homestay and enjoy an evening meditation, sharing and games with a view on the valley. Day 5: Morning yoga & meditation. We will discuss a selection of activities; bamboo rafting, hiking, river boat riding, motorbike tour, and cooking class. Activities are optional and can be done with the whole group, as well as split up. We will have a local family dinner at the treehouse homestay, and have a cosy evening with optional activities. Day 6: Morning meditation / yoga - breakfast & prepare for departure to Ninh Binh

Day 6-8
A trip in North Vietnam is not complete without visiting Tam Coc and the Trang An landscape complex, A UNESCO World Heritage site, also known as "Ha Long Bay on land" it is a great place to cycle around, and enjoy what could easily be the most memorable and serene boat tour of your life. Situated near the southern margin of the Red River Delta, the Trang An Landscape Complex is a Day 6 - Hang Mua: After arriving at our homestay, we will have a leisurely cycling trip around the fields, canals and limestone rocks, before heading to the Hang Mua viewpoint and soaking in the view from the dragon pagoda. In the evening we will have a group activity at the homestay Day 7 - (Morning meditation) > Afternoon - Trang An complex: A spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, many of them partly submerged and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs. After enjoying pancakes and fruit for breakfast, we will head to the Trang An landscape complex for a beautiful and serene boat trip through caves, forests, and the biologically diverse landscape, possessing 310 types of rare and precious plants such as cycas, sua, Indian mahogany, orchids, Chinese yam, honeysuckle, juniper, lettuce, etc. and endangered animal species such as mainland serow, leopard, phoenix pheasant. Day 8 - Breakfast + Morning activity - Departure

Hạ Long Bay
Day 8-10
Our last destination of North Vietnam.. island, beach and rainforest. The UNESCO world heritage site consists of a dense cluster of around 1,600 limestone monolithic islands each topped with thick jungle vegetation, rising from the ocean.. we will cruise around the bay, visiting fishing villages, go hiking, kayaking and visit caves. Day 8 : After having settled at our Eco-Lodge, we will have lunch and get ready for a day of adventure. Nearby there is one of the best rock climbing spots in Vietnam, and other options are going for a hike, renting a motorbike, and going to the beach. Day 9: This day reserved for a more relaxed day, taking a day cruise around Ha Long Bay. We will go kayaking, swimming, see how the locals live in the floating villages, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. At the end of the day we will come back to our eco-lodge where we will have a group activity. Day 10 - Breakfast + Morning Activity - Departure & Stopover in Hanoi

Day 10-11
Day 10 - Short stop: We will pass through Hanoi for less than half a day, in time for a relaxing dinner and drinks by the lake, before getting on our long night journey to Da Nang - Hoi An.

Day 11-14
Known as one of the most romantic and scenic towns in the world.. Hội An is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with canals. The former port city’s melting-pot history is reflected in its architecture, a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colourful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda. Hội An is also known for being the best place in the world to get a tailor made suit or other clothes, for the best price/quality. Day 11: We will arrive to Hội An straight from Da Nang after the night train, and so after checking into our accommodation, we will enjoy a relatively calm day, with an optional walk around the market, and a visit to the night market in the evening. Day 12: We will rent bicycles and bike around the town, before heading to the coconut forest, an eco-tourism spot where we will paddle through palm mangroves in circular boats and watch the performances and stunts of the local theatrics. Day 13: The last day full day will be a mix of shopping for souvenirs and visiting the town, followed by a trip to the beach. Day 14: On this last day we have the space and opportunity to decide for ourselves what we want to do.
