I got the inspiration for this trip after reading the book 'Stolen Focus' by Johann Hari. It talks about how we are living in a fast-paced society that constantly amps us up with stress and stimulation, harming our attention span each day. I asked myself, 'How do I slow down in a world that is speeding up?' So, I decided to do something about it. I came up with this trip, which I like to call my ‘getaway retreat trip,’ to give my mind and body a break, use devices less, and have more human interaction. Imagine waking up to a stunning ocean view with the sounds of nature, or sipping coffee while the ocean breeze hits your face. If you're seeking peace in a blend of isolation and immersion in local culture, I believe this might be the place for you. I choose Lanta Island because I recently traveled with friends across the southern Thai islands. During our journey, we revisited Koh Lanta, one of my all-time favorite spots. Being back there, even for just a few days, reminded me why I love it so much. This time, I want to stay longer in Koh Lanta to explore more of this paradise, experience local life up close, and enjoy the quiet atmosphere, taking advantage of the low season when prices are more reasonable. We'll also have regular social events arranged upon our discussion😉, with plenty of weekend activities to choose from: - Beach parties or bar hopping - Day trips to Phi Phi Island, Phuket, or nearby cities - Scuba Diving - Visits to the Elephant Sanctuary
 - Visits Lanta Old Town - Exploring Lanta Island
- Many many more! So if you: - Prefer a slow-paced travel experience - Love being surrounded by nature - Enjoy meeting people from around the world - Like exploring new places - Are easygoing Then, I believe this trip is PERFECT for you! I want to make this trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you won't find anywhere else. I want you to take advantage of traveling with me, not only to benefit from exploring with a local like me but also with someone who loves to discover and find new hidden gems. And of course, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask me in the Q&A section! ❤️ And before we confirm the trip, I will schedule a video call to ensure that we have the same understanding and expectations about the trip! 😊

As I mentioned, there is a diverse range of activities you can do while you are on this amazing island. For fitness folks, you can sign up for Muay Thai training to get in shape while traveling! Honestly, I’m also considering signing up for Muay Thai training, as I’ve never done it before, and it would be great to have a training buddy or buddiesss ;)

Not only that, but what could be more satisfying than doing yoga by the beach and letting the ocean breeze hit your face? Imagine starting or ending your day with a peaceful yoga session, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the waves, and feeling completely refreshed and rejuvenated.

7

Lanta Old Town

Day 8
Originally a sea gypsy settlement, Lanta Old Town evolved into a vibrant village shaped by trade. Today, it boasts a charming array of shops, restaurants, and homes perched on stilts above sea level. With stunning views of surrounding islands and the mainland, it's a picturesque spot to enjoy, especially during high tide.
