This is more than just a retreat—it’s a journey of connection, presence, and transformation. As we move through the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas, we’ll deepen our yoga practice, immerse ourselves in Ladakhi culture, and embrace the adventure that unfolds along the way. This isn’t a tightly scheduled tour—it’s a mindful experience. If you’re looking for a minute-by-minute itinerary, this might not be for you. But if you’re open to deep cultural immersion, flowing with the moment, and sharing this journey with like-minded souls, you’re in the right place. Whether it’s an impromptu meditation overlooking a vast valley, a chai break with a local family, or a sunset yoga session in a breathtaking spot, this is about moving mindfully, not rushing through a checklist. From the tranquil waters of Srinagar to the vibrant energy of the Ladakh Festival, from the stillness of ancient monasteries to the wild beauty of high-altitude deserts, every moment is an invitation to be fully present. Through daily yoga, meditation, and conscious travel, we’ll not only explore the land but also ourselves—returning home with a renewed sense of clarity, purpose, and connection.

Guiding this journey are Jess and Rochak, a duo passionate about crafting meaningful experiences. Jess will lead yoga and meditation, while Rochak—the logistics wizard—ensures everything runs seamlessly (and may even guide you through a powerful breathwork session). Together, they create a space for adventure, self-discovery, and deep cultural immersion. Back home in Kathmandu, the Yoga Treks Nepal team wouldn’t be complete without Motley and Kakashi—our beloved four-legged office assistants. Motley is the official welcome committee, treat enthusiast, and master of dramatic belly flops, while Kakashi is our mischievous little explorer, always up to something. Sadly, they won’t be joining us on this trip, but they’ll be keeping things in order at HQ, ready to greet you if your travels ever bring you to Nepal!

Throughout this journey, we’ll be staying in a carefully curated mix of boutique accommodations—from a serene cottage on the lake in Srinagar to cozy stays in Leh and tented camps in the remote wilderness. Most nights, you’ll have your own private room, though in some locations, shared accommodations may be necessary due to availability. This retreat is designed for a minimum of four travelers. If we don’t reach this number by August 15, 2025, the trip will still go ahead, but with a small-group adjustment: 3 travelers: +$495 per person 2 travelers: +$1,295 per person If this happens, you'll have the option to pay the additional amount or receive a full refund—whatever feels right for you. I’ll keep you updated along the way! This experience is about embracing the unknown, moving with intention, and forming beautiful connections—with the land, with the culture, and with each other. If you're ready to travel with an open heart and a sense of adventure, then this is the journey for you. Any questions about the trip? You can let me know in the Q&A section!

Trip Itinerary
1

Delhi

Day 1-2
Arrive in Delhi and head to the lively district of Hauz Khas, a charming mix of historic ruins, lakeside greenery, and buzzing cafés. You’ll stay in a boutique hotel, a quiet retreat from the city's energy. In the evening, join an optional group dinner to meet your fellow travelers before settling in for the night, ready for the adventure ahead.
2

Srinagar

Day 2-4
Fly to Srinagar, where we slow down and soak in the peaceful charm of Kashmir. We’ll stay in a cozy cottage near Dal Lake, waking up to misty waters and the sounds of nature. Glide across the lake in a traditional shikara boat, explore the vibrant old town with its ancient mosques and spice-scented markets, and sip chai in hidden teahouses. Our yoga and meditation sessions take place in nature, allowing us to connect deeply with the serenity of our surroundings before we begin our Himalayan journey.
3

Kargil

Day 4
Our adventure through the mountains begins as we leave Srinagar and travel to Kargil, a historic Silk Route town surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, we pass rugged valleys, emerald rivers, and isolated monasteries. We’ll pause for chai at scenic viewpoints, soaking in the grandeur of the Himalayas. Arriving in Kargil, we settle in for the night and enjoy a relaxing yoga session.
4

Leh

Day 4-8
Arriving in Leh, we step into a world of high-altitude desert landscapes, ancient Buddhist culture, and spiritual depth. Over the next four days, we immerse ourselves in the Ladakh Festival (Sept 21-24), a vibrant celebration of local traditions with masked dances, music, and colorful processions. This is also where our yoga and meditation practice deepens, with daily sessions designed to align mind, body, and breath. We will visit ancient monasteries, where the sound of chanting monks will lift and enhance our meditation practise. Over these four days, there's time for journaling, self-reflection, and simply being present in this sacred land.... oh and I have a favourite cafe in the heart of Leh market, so I'll make sure you get your coffee fix.
5

Nubra Valley

Day 8-9
We leave Leh and travel to Nubra Valley, an otherworldly landscape where golden dunes meet snow-capped peaks. Here, we see Bactrian camels, remnants of the old Silk Route, and stay in a tented camp under the vast Himalayan sky. This is a night for storytelling, stargazing, and soaking in the magic of Ladakh’s wild beauty.
6

Pangong Tso

Day 9-10
Journeying to Pangong Lake, we reach one of Ladakh’s most breathtaking sights—a turquoise lake stretching between India and Tibet, reflecting the endless sky above. We spend the night in lakeside tents, wrapped in stillness and wonder, with time to simply sit, breathe, and take it all in.
7

Leh

Day 10-11
We make our way back to Leh - over one more of those high mountain passes - for one last evening in this sacred land. This is a time to reflect on the journey, share stories, and soak in the magic of Ladakh before we begin our journey home.
8

Delhi

Day 11-12
We fly back to Delhi, where you can either catch your international flight home or stay the night to rest and explore before departing the next day. With hearts full and minds clear, we say our farewells, carrying the stillness, wisdom, and adventure of the Himalayas within us.
