We will sail from island to island and bay to bay on-board my yacht that has just completed a sail around the world and is equipped with many nice toys like a SUP and a watermaker that makes life on the sea comfortable and chill. We will do a good mix of swimming around the boat in anchorages, visiting 1-2 island towns and explore there, visiting beach bars and Tavernas and maybe take a scooter to drive around an island. We will pool about 200 Euros per person at the start of the trip for the "crew kitty" to get food and drinks for the week and for marina fees and for re-fueling the boat at the end of the trip.
About Me!
I am a 37-year-old German journalist who quit his job to sail around the world. I have also worked as a yacht skipper as a side job for 10+ years. I have also a masters degree in Political Science and Sociology. I am easygoing and uncomplicated as a person.
The boat has 4 double cabins. You share your cabin usually with another crew member of the same sex unless you want it differently. We also have 2 mattresses to sleep on deck and 2 hammocks. We have two bathrooms. In the middle of the boat is the salon with kitchen and big table with sofa area to hang out, cook and eat.

While Moritz was not here for the trip (except the first morning), Elisa did a great job as a skipper. She explained everything very well, and having no experience in sailing was not a problem at all. Unfortunately we did not have that much wind, but we got lucky and saw some dolphins, a turtle and even a monk seal during our trip. I really enjoyed the trip, all of the crew got along very well and I am considering going again.

I had the time of my life on Moritz’s sailboat Free Spirit — a name that truly lived up to its promise. One week of freedom on the water, with a mix of sailing adventures, hikes, deep conversations with wonderful people, and just letting my soul unwind while gaining hands-on sailing experience. This trip was incredible and was one of the best weeks of my life. Our skipper Elisa was young, passionate, great fun and gave us the choice to personalise the trip depending on what we wanted from it. The rest of the crew were all so interesting, fun and very lovely people with a range of ages from 20 to 50 - some of them friends for life. I'd recommend this to anyone who is open minded and seeking a new adventure, or someone who wants to do some sailing and meet some new people. I'll be thinking about this trip for many years to come and it is my new benchmark for the best short trip I've been on. Thank you so much for everything!

At the beginning of our trip we will start in and anchor near to Korfu town. We will first get some food for the whole week and then have an introduction to the boat and a safety briefing. Via the boats dinghy we will get to land and explore the old town, its bars and tavernas. The view of the old town from the anchorage is also quite nice.

On our way slowly chill-sailing south, we will also stop in this impressive bay with picture perfect blue water, framed by the green shore. Besides swimming around the boat we might also explore a bit on shore.

We will stay in one of the charming bays with its azure blue waters that the island of Antipaxos offers. That will mean a lot of time to swim around the boat and to the beach and maybe explore a bit on shore too. In the evening we cook together on the boat after some sundowner drinks and then watch the stars when chilling on deck after dinner.

Levkada is a bustling greek island town with a nice bar scene. Lets mix and mingle with other travelers after two days in beach anchorages. You like some live music in a Taverna the Greek traditional way? Or a rowdy drinking night with backpackers, lots of drinks and loud pop-music to sing along? Or some house and electronic music? We will see what we find.

Ithaca
Day 6-7

Sailing south from Levkada, we stop in Odysseus island to enjoy one of its many green coves. We anchor in a bay outside town to swim around the boat and maybe also hike up the next hill for a nice view over the bay. In the evening we enjoy the solitude in a quiet bay or maybe do some nighly swimming or skinny dipping from the boat and maybe sleep on deck below the stars.

Zakynthos famous Shipwreck Bay is much photographed but also worth seeing it. The milky turquoise water, the enormous cliffs on both sides, the white beach at its end and the rusty big wreck of course. Get your cameras ready! Depending on the weather we will also anchor and stay there overnight or drive to a different nearby anchorage.

At the end of our trip we will arrive in Zakynthos town where we are docked right at the piazza with its many cafes and restaurants to enjoy a nice taverna night, maybe we find one with some Greek live traditional guitar music even? From here you can also easily reach Zakynthos airport.
