WHAT’S INCLUDED: 📍 I’ll handle all the planning and bookings for you. 📍 Accommodation in Airbnb's favorites, (capsule in tokyo and typical Machiya Houses in Kyoto), including everything we need, waching machine, hair dryer, kitchen, etc 📍 Support before we depart. 📍 Travel insurance for those residing in Germany or Austria. WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED: 📍 Food and drinks, these will either be "pay for what you consume" outside or shared expenses whenever we cook together, and we can split the costs using apps. 📍 Additional expenses for activities (Sumo show, Mt fuji day trip, hakone day trip, tea cerimony and meditation session in private temple, which you can a check in GetYourGuide) 📍 Transport costs - we'll buy each reusable cards or single tickets for bus / train. 🗺 ITINERARY & GROUP SIZE I’m keeping the group small — maximum of 6 people, including myself, I have now 2 vacancies as we're 4 already! 📍 MEETING POINT: We’ll gather on July 1st, depending on when everyone arrives, at Tokyo Narita Airport. 🛂 VISAS: Most travelers can obtain a visa on arrival in Japan (if applicable, most don't need one). Please verify the specific requirements for your nationality before booking! Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months upon leaving Japan to avoid issues. 🏥 INSURANCE: Please make sure you have travel insurance that covers Asia or worldwide. 📱 WHATSAPP GROUP: I’ll create a group a few weeks before our trip so we can start getting to know each other and you can ask any questions!

🏡 ACCOMMODATION: 📍 We’ll stay in a hotel in Tokyo and private apartments with several rooms and/or with single beds. There will be fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities, and we’ll be close to public transport. 📱 Essential Apps: I’ll gather some useful apps for navigation and translation to help us get around easily.

Tokyo

Day 1-2
July 1st – Culture, Electronics, and Life in Shibuya After check-in and depending on the time you arrive, ・ Akihabara – Otaku Culture and Electronics Shopping We start the day in Akihabara, the epicenter of electronics (Super Potato is a famous store in Akihabara for those who love retro games and consoles), anime, and Japanese pop culture. In addition to manga, anime, and figurine stores, we find several specialized stores selling retro electronics, where you can find everything from Gameboys and old consoles to photographic accessories and other rare gadgets. Another interesting store is Mandarake, specialized in collectible items, including anime figures, manga, and retro games. ・ Roppongi Hills Mori Art Museum and enjoying the panoramic view of Tokyo ・Tokyo Midtown It is nearby. Besides being a great place for luxury shopping, the complex also has gardens and art spaces. It might be fun to see Tokyo’s modern architecture.

Mount Fuji

Day 2-3
July 2nd – Excursion to Mount Fuji and Major Attractions ・Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine ・Oshino Hakkai ・Oishi Park (Momiji Corridor, Lake Kawaguchi) ・Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Evening: After the excursion, return to Tokyo. If we still have energy, we again explore Shibuya at night, and take a walk around (bars, cafes, and shops).

Akasaka

Day 3-5
July 3rd – Sumo Show and Exploring Tokyo We take the morning to relax a bit after the long previous day. We have breakfast and then: ・Visit meiji Shrine and explore the park around the temple (it’s one of the most peaceful and beautiful attractions in Tokyo) ・We visit the Shibuya crossing and the surrounding area. ・Sumo Show with Hot Chicken (yakitori) and photos ・Dinner at the famous Hakushu restaurant July 4th – Tokyo and Its Iconic Attractions ・ Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple (the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo) ・Nakamise-dori shopping street, full of traditional shops and souvenirs. ・Tsukiji Outer Market, where we can enjoy fresh sushi, seafood, and other traditional Japanese dishes. ・Ueno Park and Tokyo National Museum Lunch in Ueno For lunch, we can try typical dishes from Ueno, such as Unagi (grilled eel) or Tempura. ・ Odaiba At the end of the day, we head to Odaiba, an artificial island in Tokyo Bay that offers a combination of shopping, entertainment, and beautiful views. ・ DiverCity Tokyo shopping mall and the enormous Gundam statue. ・Stroll through Odaiba Seaside Park and enjoy the sunset over Tokyo Bay, with views of the Rainbow Bridge and the Tokyo skyline. ・Dinner at one of the restaurants with a sea view or one of the food courts in Odaiba, especially dishes like Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) or typical seafood dishes. If time allows, we can also visit TeamLab Borderless.

Hakone

Day 5-6
July 5th – One Day Trip to Oshino Hakkai, Hakone, Owakudani Cable Car ・Hakone Temple ・Hakone Cable Car with a spectacular view of Mount Fuji ・Ōwakudani (a volcanic area where we can try sulfur-boiled eggs) ・Lake Yamanaka ・Crystal Springs of Oshino Hakkai Evening: Shibuya – Dinner in Sushi Izakaya and Fun

Kyoto

Day 6-9
July 6th - Arrival in Kyoto, relax / free stroll July 7th – Kyoto: Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, and Gion ・Arashiyama Bamboo Grove We start the day early at the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove (a park with tall bamboo) to avoid crowds. ・Togetsukyo Bridge and Tenryu-ji Temple We then return to Kyoto and head to Fushimi Inari (famous for the thousands of red torii gates). ・Lunch and Stroll Through Gion We take the opportunity to explore the streets of Hanami-koji and Shirakawa, famous for their tea houses and the chance to see a geisha. ・ Yasaka Shrine and Maruyama Park ・Maruyama Park. ・Pontocho Alley Famous for its restaurant and bar options with river views. July 8th – Nishiki Market, Higashiyama, and Tea Ceremony ・Hōkanji Temple, Yasaka-no-Tou Pagoda, and the surrounding area (Gion) ・Nishiki Market (traditional food shops, trying typical snacks, and learning about the local cuisine) ・Stroll through Higashiyama District, which includes some historical temples: ・Kiyomizu-dera, one of the most famous temples in Kyoto. ・Kodai-ji Temple, with its peaceful gardens and unique architecture. ・Yasaka Koshin-do Temple, known for its colorful prayer balls. ・Lunch in Higashiyama's typical local restaurant that serves dishes like kaiseki (traditional multi-course Japanese meal) or yudofu (boiled tofu), a Kyoto specialty. ・Tea Ceremony at Jotokuji Temple ・Stroll through the Higashiyama District After the activity, if we still have energy, we can walk through the alleys of Higashiyama and its preserved architecture. ・ Dinner in Pontocho Alley A charming street by the river, famous for its traditional restaurants.

Osaka

Day 9-10
July 9th – Day trip to Osaka ・Breakfast in Osaka (Yoshinoya or a local café) ・Osaka Castle A famous historical landmark with a panoramic view of the city from the top of the castle. ・ Kuromon Ichiba Market This market offers a wide variety of fresh products like fish, fruits, and vegetables, as well as delicious street foods like takoyaki (octopus balls) and okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake). ・Tsūtenkaku and Shinsekai Tsūtenkaku is an iconic tower in Osaka where we can go up and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. We can also explore the traditional neighborhood of Shinsekai, known for its street food restaurants, such as kushikatsu (fried skewers). ・Umeda Sky Building The observatory at the top offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Osaka. ・Amerikamura (American Village) A vibrant neighborhood known for its youth culture, alternative fashion stores, and a mix of Western and Japanese influences. It's the perfect place for relaxed strolls, shopping, and observing local fashion. ・Dinner in Dotonbori or Namba Dotonbori is just a 5-minute walk from Amerikamura and is famous for its vibrant atmosphere and street food options. If we prefer a more tranquil dinner, there are also more sophisticated restaurant options in Namba. ・Night Stroll in Dotonbori or Namba and back to Kyoto

Day 10-11
July 10th – Kyoto ・ Zen Meditation at a Private Temple with a Monk Day to Rest / To be decided July 11th - Departure home (we can still have breakfast or buy some last souvenirs, depeding on available time before heading to the airport)
