Korfu

Day 1-2
Corfu is one of the most popular islands in Greece. The island has long been appreciated as a vacation resort. Even Sisi, the former empress of Austria, had a summer residence built here. Today, 100,000 people live on Corfu, also called Kerkyra. Connoisseurs of Greece particularly enjoy the lush green vegetation. Today, the capital city is home to almost 32,000 people. It has a distinctive architectural style due to centuries of Venetian rule. The city knows how to charm and is worth a visit at any time of day.

Paxi

Day 2-3
Like its big sister Corfu, Paxos is also a green and flourishing island. Here too, as in Corfu, it was the Venetians who encouraged the planting of olive trees by giving money. The island is forested with olive trees and cypresses. Broom, a variety of herbs and blooming wildflowers wrap the island in a colorful dress, especially in spring.
3

Syvota

Day 3-4
On Epirus, about 25 kilometers south of Igoumenitsa, lies the picturesque little coastal town of Sivota. It belongs to the prefecture of Thesprotia. Thesprotia is mostly covered by mountains, rivers such as the Acharon and the Kalamas flow through the gorges. Famous for its rich flora and fauna, Thesprotia is an ideal destination for nature-loving hikers. In combination with the countless, very sheltered bathing bays and the clear water, Sivota and its surroundings are almost unbeatable as a vacation destination.
4

Lefkada

Day 4-5
Lefkada has a temperate Mediterranean climate with many daily hours of sunshine all year round, mild but rainy winters and not too hot summers, and a permanent refreshing wind. Due to regular rainfall, this Ionian island is also very green, olive trees, cypresses and pines are the most common tree species. The usual vegetation also includes an endemic variety of oak, various herbs and countless flowers, some of which are quite rare. The wind blows strongest and most reliably in the bay of Vassiliki and thus ensures that the Ionian island of Lefkas is considered an absolute top destination for surfers worldwide.
5

Ithaca

Day 5-6
or ten years Odysseus wandered around on the sea before he arrived back at his home in Ithaca with his wife Penelope and his son Telemach. However, it is not quite certain whether he actually landed on the Ionian island of Ithaca. The neighboring island of Kefalonia insists that Odysseus belongs to it. Since Homer mentions Ithaca in his epic, I simply assume that the approximately 3000 inhabitants of Ithaca are right and that their island was the home of Odysseus. A bust in the central square of the town commemorates the seafaring island hero. On panels you can learn more about his 10-year adventurous odyssey, which led him to Sicily to the Cyclops.
6

Cephalonia

Day 6-7
Forested mountains, long sandy beaches and small bays determine the landscape of Kefalonia. Probably no other Greek island is so diverse: in the south you will find countless sandy beaches and lush greenery, the north is more of a rugged beauty, more mountainous and with spectacular scenery. Kefalonia is one of the greenest islands in Greece and the inhabitants are proud of the unique fir forest on Mount Ainos, which has been protected since 1962. Ainos is also home to wild horses, which you may be lucky enough to encounter on a hike.
7

Zakinthos

Day 7-8
Probably the most photographed motif on Zakynthos: Navagio beach. The so-called Smuggler's Bay in the northwest of the island is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe and captivates with turquoise blue water, white sand and impressive rocky outcrops. Many other bays and dreamlike beaches draw Zakynthos in a unique light!
