Trip Itinerary
1
Beşiktaş
Day 1
We will stay in a neighborhood called Beşiktaş which has a lovely bazaar, nice bars, transportation to everywhere easily, and a lovely Bosporus view on the pier. On the first day if you could arrive early we can explore the environment, could go to Ortaköy to try "Kumpir" and visit "Ihlamur Kasrı". But since arrival days can be tricky, I do not want to make a strict plan. We can sit and talk to get to know each other better, too.
2
Sultanahmet Square
Day 1-2
On the first full day, we will start our tour with the famous historical square of Istanbul, which is Sultanahmet Square. Monuments from many civilizations that lived in Istanbul, such as the Ottoman and Byzantine, can be visited here. We will visit the famous Topkapı Palace Museum, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, Hagia Irene, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar, The Hippodrome area. We will explore Ottoman History of Istanbul. And after that, we will eat Turkish ravioli in our neighborhood.
3
Beyoğlu
Day 2-3
Beyoğlu is one of the most beautiful parts of Istanbul. And Istiklal Caddesi is the iconic street with the famous tram. It is super cozy in the winter, we can walk through this “Christmas town” looking street, eat hot chestnuts and visit the famous Galata Tower. With the museum card, I bring, you can go up and see that fantastic panoramic view. We will go to a traditional restaurant afterward and finish the day in a perfect 360° panoramic terrace bar.
4
Galataport Istanbul
Day 3-4
First, we will visit the Pera Museum, which hosts regular, international loan exhibitions and holds permanent collections of Orientalist Paintings, Anatolian Weights and Measures, and Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics. If you are an art enthusiast, you will feel really satisfied. After that, we will visit Galataport. It includes the city's cruise ship terminal, around 250 shops and restaurants, a Peninsula hotel, the Istanbul Modern art museum, and other cultural and entertainment facilities; the complex also hosts festivals. And we will eat a traditional dinner with fish some appetizers and Turkish raki.
5
Istanbul Archaeological Museums
Day 4-5
We will visit Istanbul Archeology Museum, which has fascinating parts and a brilliant collection. I believe getting in touch with history is as important as seeing the city as it is now. You will feel the essence of the city more. After spending time inside, we will have a walk in the famous old Gulhane Park and drink Turkish tea in that cozy environment. We will try a different kind of kebab which has a special way of presentation.
6
Fatih
Day 5-6
After all those working hours and long days of traveling, in the middle of our trip, we will have a chill day and attend a marbling atelier (which is an important representative art for Middle Eastern Culture) after work. And then we will try a Turkish winter drink, which is a surprise 😍
7
Kadıköy
Day 6-7
Friday night!! 🥳 We are going to have a nice ferry ride to the Anatolian side. We will pass by Maiden Tower which has a lovely story that I will share with you. We will have another traditional dinner at Kadıköy, and then we can have fun in that young and alive neighborhood.
8
Balat
Day 7-8
On our last full day, we will start the day with a traditional Turkish breakfast in which we have Menemen, Pişi, some jams, and more 😋. After that, we will visit Balat and Fener which is a nostalgic town and also the old Jewish part of the city. And then we will go across the bridge again to pass the Anatolian side and see Kuzguncuk which is a super cute neighborhood and close to our last night restaurant. We will have a nice dinner.

İstanbul
Day 8-9
This is going to be our last morning together :( Everybody will have to go but do not have to say goodbye. Sharing that nice experience will make us close, and I am sure nobody will want to lose contact with each other. Maybe even see each other on another trip...
