Lets discover Athens, Meteora, Aegina and their surroundings like locals. We will go on walking tours to see the most visited, as well as lesser known spots, and we will sample authentic Greek food and drinks on our way. We will visit the Meteora rocks, trying to catch the Mezmerizing sunrise and sunset there. We will also visit the magical Aegina island by ferry, and meet the warm Greek people who live there Greeks follow a Mediterranean diet🦞. That’s why Greek food culture is one of my favorites. We will try greek street food, tavernas while doing some fun activities, and visiting some attractions on our way. Why go to Greece? ❤️ The warmth and generosity of its people will make you want to stay there ❤️ Athen's streets are full of people playing and singing Greek music ❤️ As a foodie, this is one of my favorite places, with lots of food varieties ❤️ Other reasons that can't be explained, but only felt ☺️ Why go on this trip? 💜 This would be my 4th time in Athens, I know the secret places, hidden gems, and I am already in Love 💜 You will meet new friends for life, live, walk and eat together. 💜 These memories will stay with you for life Note: This trip is food sensitivities friendly, since Greek food have options for everyone 😍 Plus vegan options are available everywhere

Athens

Day 1-2

On our first day, we will meet in the capital Athens. We will do a walking tour in the city, explore the main attractions, and enjoy the Greek gastronomy. The plan on thr first day is flexible, and it depends on the arrival time of everyone.

Ioannina

Day 2

On our second day, we will go on a drive to Ioannina, We will spend our time exploring this beautiful city, and we will have lunch and get to know each other as they say, "food brings people together"

Metsovo

Day 2

Metsovo is our next stop. It is known for its pedestrian streets. Its known for its local cheese, and for wine making. So this is a great chance to make some tastings. We will stay there for the afternoon then head to Meteora

Kalabaka

Day 2-3

Kalabaka is the village down the Meteora rocks. We will settle in our hotel, and visit to the Meteora monasteries. We will need 1 day to explore them, as well as chasing sunrise and sunset from the rocks. We will also visit the mushroom museum. Did you know that they have mushroom chocolates?

Meteora

Day 3-4

Look at those beautiful rock structures. Do I need to say more? Meteora had 24 Greek Orthodox Monasteries, only 6 of them are still active. We will try to catch the sunrise and sunset, while visiting some (or all if you want) of the active monasteries. We can hire a taxi, go by bus, or hike. We will be staying the night in Kalambaka finding more about its culture.

Trikala

Day 4

Our journey is not over yet. We will head to Trikala. We will wander in the old town, see the wall paintings, visit the forest park, and see what we can explore together before leaving. Then we will head back to Athens.

Athens

Day 4-5

It's time to wander in the capital, and visit it's hidden gems. We will settle in the hotel, have dinner, and go on a night walking tour. On the next day, we will sample some traditional food from local's favorite places in the city.

Anafiotika

Day 5

We will visit the Anafiotica neighborhood. It is a small area that has an island architecture, inside the city. We will wander in the narrow streets, and climb the narrow white steps, see the beautiful flowers, and the scenic view.

Likavittou

Day 5-6

One of the magical places will we will visit on our third day is the highest hill in Athens. We will get there before sunset using the cable car, and we have the choice to have dinner in one of the restaurants, then we will have our free time. Athens at night is very energetic, and very beautiful to walk in.

Aegina

Day 6-7

Aegina island is one of the lesser known, and lesser visited islands by tourists in Greece, yet, one of the most beautiful ones. We will go on a day trip to this island, and explore it by bike or walking, we will also visit the famous Agios Nektarios church, then we will return to Athens, while watching one of the most magical scenes on our way back

Varvakios Central Municipal Market

Day 7-8

Our last day will be the shopping day. We will visit the flea market, and other places where locals do their shopping. You will be able to find souvenirs at the best prices, even clothes and food. Plus we will continue our sightseeing and wander in the city
